The expellee should find the most vicious lawyer he can and sue the school for the full amount of its endowment, less a small stipend.

Kissing someone when they are asleep is now considered “rape?”

This is a pretty important story in a variety of ways.

“The world gone mad! Why does this even hit the news?”

Perhaps because it’s Brandeis.

They shot themselves hard in the foot last year, tearing down Ayaan Hirsi, who wanted to talk about muslim hatred and intolerance and FGM.

They deserve any and all bad publicity.

Yes, under the new Affirmative Consent regime kissing your wife (or whoever) while she sleeps is rape. After all, she didn't give consent. I have raped my wife on multiple occasions according to this new definition.

There are enough sex deviants on TV without it being here, too.

Perhaps because it’s Brandeis.

It isn't just Brandeis. This is now a crime in all California public universities, as well as private colleges all over the country. It's called Affirmative Consent. Although I call it madness.

Dear Lord I've been raping my wife for 25 years now when I leave for work in the morning?? Who knew...

“She interviewed both parties, but did not allow John access to his lawyer and did not allow him to see what he was being specifically accused of.”

How can that possibly be legal?

“In the end, Sanghavi found John guilty of sexual assault”

Ickiness factor in this case aside, it is deeply troubling trend whenever a university exercises quasi-legal powers that skirt due process. This hired gun lawyer is neither a judge, nor a jury, yet she seems to acted as both here.

Agreed but I was trying to answer the question of not only why it hits the news, but also why someone posted it here.

Brandeis SUCKS, just like all the other racist, bigoted, intolerant California (and most other) universities.

Thanks for the update. I still can’t believe a kiss can be called rape regardless of the participants. A KISS must be PERMITTED by a VERBAL CONSENT? Yikes, the world has indeed gone completely berserk!

Two disgusting fags. Expel them both, sentence them to the ducking stool then the pillory. Then beat the snot out of them and ride them out of town on a rail.

This kind of gross violation of due process is being done routinely to heterosexuals by colleges, almost always to men.

Exactly why this is important to us. These laws were intended to punish / destroy the heterosexual male role in society. However, the liberal community will now see that they may be creating a legal monster that will come back to haunt them.
