"Phobia" means "fear of".
"Islamophobia" is a misnomer, just like "homophobia".
I'm not afraid of them, per se. I just want them to shut up and stop bothering us normal people. The Islamists can stay in the Middle East and wipe each other out, and the homosexuals can do what they want in their bedrooms as adults.
I don't bother them. I don't try to kill them. I don't push my sexuality in their faces.
But the problem is that neither group can stand to leave normal people alone.
Well, that's only one of the problems. But it's a big part of it.
