I believe one about as much as I believe the other, which is to say neither one. I believe that Obama's claim to be a Christian is false and his actual faith is Islam. That is, if he really believes in any God, which is doubtful IMHO.
I don't know very much about Islam, but I assume it classifies lying as sin. And if so, Obama doesn't qualify as a devotee of Islam, or any religion for that matter, since he's by far the most prolific liar ever to disgrace the high office he holds.
I suppose I've come to the point where I have very little faith in the veracity of any prominent politician's claims or statements, but Obama ranks 1st, or last depending on one's point of view, and Hill & Bill aren't too far behind. Wish I could say that all Repub would-be nominees don't even qualify as contenders for that title, but after watching the hi-jinks of major league politicians of both parties ever since I was a teenager 6 decades ago I have come to the conclusion that I can't believe even 1/2 of anything that even the most reputable of them says or claims.
The only nationally prominent politician who I believe was an exception to that general rule is Ronald Reagan. He stands out in my estimation as the only 20th century president who put the welfare on the nation ahead of political ambition, and the only one whose "word was as good as his bond", to quote an "old saying" of my grandfather. I doubt that very many of us on this forum will see his equal occupy that high office again, and considering my age I'm quite sure that I won't.

I think your assumption about lying and Islam is a little off base. A lesson for you about lying (taqiyya) and how it is used in Islam:
