First, I dont like cities. Not even living near them. But an armed population should be the first deterrent against terrorism.
We saw how SWAT Teams handled a terrorist attack in Boston. 2 terrorists and the police SWAT Teams were like the keystone cops.
Apply the military to the situation and it would be worse.
Militarization of the police is a mistake. Appearance of safety, but carries grave danger attached.
All good points - my main point (may not have been clear) was that if the police are militarized and get out of hand, those same 10,000 armed citizens have the ability to send a message.
I agree. The whole idea of that happening is so foreign to the very nature of the US as to make it unthinkable.
The Military itself is also foreign to such action. Possibly now they have been purged at the top of the Military to make it thinkable. But actionable? Guess we may see.
This whole mess has a global financial mess underlaying it that is not yet out in the open. I thinks this is the crime that the Congress has committed, sold us out. If so, what will be the price they pay when it reaches “the end”?
