Try putting some garlic in your diet.

Ha! I keep a half pound of peeled cloves on hand at all times. I just minced 6 cloves last night for a garlic, onion and bok choy stir fry with teriyaki sauce.

I don't think I could up my intake by much. But I love garlic...so it's worth a shot.

There might be something where you sleep that triggers your runny nose, and then it takes awhile to recover a few hours after you wake up. I might even try a different pillow and see what happens. Otherwise, elements of your diet could come into play such as garlic, turmeric, etc.. Eat more salads/leafy vegetables.

I don't know what effects your garlic consumption has on your nose, but I do know that unless your wife is consuming similar amounts... that her nose could easily cause your level of daily smooching to decrease dramatically.
