Nobody could get them released.
The reason we know Bush's or Kerry's or Gore's grades isn't that they released them or that the schools turned the grades over to reporters who asked for them. It's that somebody leaked them or the GPA turned up in other documents.
Bush eventually released his transcript, but that was after someone at Yale leaked his grades to the New Yorker. The Washington Post acquired and published Gore's Harvard grades without permission. Kerry's academic records turned up in the Navy files he had released.
Nobody came forward with Obama's grades. Probably, as was the case with Hillary's thesis until after Bill Clinton left office, they're kept under tight watch locked up somewhere, but most likely it's more a matter of there being no leakers, rather than the documents having been stolen.
Establishment Republicans will not accept a Conservative. They have made their feelings very clear. Like all Liberals, RINOs believe in administering ever greater doses of the poison that is killing America.
If we are to have a Conservative Republican as President, we will have to ram him down the Establishment’s throat.

He believes that the Founding Fathers didn't so much as make a "mistake," as deliberately construct a system of government designed to advance their own economic interests. I gather he believes that their claim of advancing "liberty" as the goal of the new political order was just a con job, a cover for their real, nefarious intentions....
0bama doesn't believe in "liberty." But then, very likely he is a Muslim, so there's no surprise there.

On the other hand, the GOP "Establishment" risks losing their conservative base if they continue to play so fast and loose with it. So how do they expect to elect RINOs?
Corruption is rife in the "Establishment" GOP. They are so in bed with powerful interest groups — Chamber of Commerce, NAM; Business Roundtable, etc. — that it looks like they're trying to establish some kind of Corporatist State, a la Mussolini....
It's all so distressing, so much so that I left the GOP in 2010. I had lost all respect for it after its supine capitulation to 0bamaCare....
The “Establishment” does not want their Conservative “base,” and have declared this blatant wish multiple times. This has been the reality since well before my lifetime (near 80 years by now).
There was a time when I thought a Conservative takeover possible. No longer. The Liberals have a death grip on the Republican Party and will destroy the Party before giving it up. In truth, they have nearly destroyed the Party already.
I wonder who scrubbed it? 0bama assuredly did not do all this by himself.
Plus it's not just a matter of scrubbing his past, but of outfitting his present: Last I heard, of the multiple social security numbers that 0bama has been alleged to have used in his lifetime, the one he's currently using was issued to a person living in Connecticut — a state in which 0bama never resided — who would be over 120 years old today.
So, who's behind all this? And to what end?
A scary thought: 0bama has recently threatened to by-pass Congress and go straight to the UN for a binding climate change treaty. He has also indicated that he would do likewise to "solve" the Israeli–Palestinian dispute. Were he to do so, he would utterly destroy the Constitution and the American rule of law.
But on the bright side (from his point of view), he'd be consolidating the power of the UN as the "legitimate" governmental body ruling over all the nations — a one-world government.
Since 0bama will be unemployed at the end of 2016, maybe he's trying to line up a new job for himself — as the ruler of the entire world?
IMHO, a thoroughly unprincipled party deserves to be destroyed.
But it seems to me that principled conservatism cannot easily be destroyed.
For ultimately, conservative principles are founded in God's will and law.
