In Cobb County, Georgia, a passerby took this iconic picture of modern crime prevention. In it, a bank robbery suspect, a black male millennial, is being held at gun point by a white haired and fit member of what appears to be the boomer generation. It is clear that the armed boomer knows what he is doing and has the situation well in hand. The iconic nature of the picture is enhanced in that it was taken by an ordinary citizen turned reporter/photographer on the instant.
While not certain, the pistol used to stop the crime may well be the pistol of the new millennium, the ubiquitous and reliable Glock. From myfoxatlanta.com:
Police say 25-year-old Mark Katchem walked into the bank, and slipped a note to the teller demanding money. A customer, who was inside, noticed what was going on, followed the alleged crook out the door, then ran to his car and grabbed his gun.Recording devices and phone cameras are likely doing as much to reduce crime rates as armed citizens are doing to stop it. As the number of armed citizens and recording devices have both increased by huge numbers in the last 30 years, the crime rate has dropped precipitously.
Police say the customer ordered Katchem to the ground and held him there at gunpoint until police arrived. Nick Daley was driving by and took a photo of what was happening.
The next step is to get rid of the legal hurdles preventing the feral from taking a bullet in the head. It’s important to remember that criminals are the most treasured demographic of the Democrat Party, so this battle will be one of the hardest yet.
That guy looks like a Freeper!
Really ..??
Maybe you better check your own backyard in MN and see just how many radical mosques you have - and all the drownings you have recently.
Don’t be dissin’ Freepers.
I take your comment as a compliment!

racist old white man stopping wealth redistribution!(sarc)
see how racism is endemic?
It’s hard to tell for sure in the picture, but it looks like the gent’s trigger finger is on the trigger, and not along side of it. If that’s so, the gent needs a reminder about trigger safety.
Your finger should be on the trigger if you’re preparing to fire. If I had an animal like that on the ground, I would be prepared to fire if he so much as twitched.
Trigger discipline my butt.
Hmmm...this would make an interesting side discussion. You may be right, but that's not the way I was taught (by dad, then in NRA classes) to handle a situation as described here. I hope others weigh in with opinions. Maybe I'll learn something.
Perhaps there are no bullets in it?
Yes, I think the guy with the gun is an Iconic freeper image.
Freepers tend to be extremely responsibe, hyper prepared, a bit older, and wise beyond their years.
Someone once said that we would be better governed by a random selection from the phone book instead of those elected.
We would be superbly governed by a random selection of freepers.
“Your finger should be on the trigger if youre preparing to fire. If I had an animal like that on the ground, I would be prepared to fire if he so much as twitched.”
He is not an animal, even if he is a criminal. There is still hope for him. May he accept Jesus, and change his ways.
Statistically unlikely, but possible.
Get off my lawn!
He gave up his claim to humanity when he decided that his right to steal and murder overrode the rights of other people to live freely. "Human" is not just a biological designation. It has a moral element, one that this pig forewent.
There is still hope for him.
With the current "justice" system, there is more than hope. He may get luxury accommodations in one of the state's many RazrWyr Resorts, where he'll be fed and cared for at taxpayer expense until he's released to wreak more havoc on innocent citizens.
May he accept Jesus, and change his ways.
If he even farts hard, he has just as long as it takes for a bullet to travel from the muzzle of my pistol to his cranium to make peace with his Creator. After that, he's food for worms.
Correct. Certainly the suspect behaved like an animal previously, while robbing the bank.
But in the picture, he is not behaving like an animal. He is face down on the ground, and compliant. If the gent holding the gun should discharge his weapon (accidentally or not) while the suspect is like that, then someone is going to have legal problems for a long time. And that someone is the gent with the gun.
How is that dissing Freepers? I was talking about the guy with the gun.
Don’t think you can be successful at escaping with a name like Catchem.
The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.
