Never mind that he is a homosexual because he “looks it” and was in San Francisco once (and thus, somehow, FAR more likely to off lots of people). His shack-up girlfriend sort of puts the lie to that assertion.
I will also state that I am dumbfounded by French authorities spouting off about bits of the investigation within even 1 day. There is NO WAY any air crash investigation goes this fast to draw such conclusions.
I’m not yet totally up to date, but I still have my doubts about whether assertions that he did indeed do this deliberately are correct. Looks more like it, but how do we really know the man didn’t have a medical emergency right then, and mess up the controls? If you don’t know the layout of the cockpit as well as other aspects, you cannot 100% state “he HAD to have done this on purpose”.
If you read the reports, they are able to deduce that he deliberately crashed the plane by the fact that he would have had to prevent the pilot from accessing the cockpit by actively overriding the pilot’s ability to enter a code to open the door. No sounds of struggle at all, other than the pilot trying to bash his way into the cockpit later, just the sound of Lubitz breathing. If it was a medical emergency, Lubitz would not have actively denied the pilot entry. One must read.
