Was Bill Ayres in the neighborhood?
Meth lab?
Just saw it on the news. It’s pretty bad.
They’re thinking the cause was a natural gas explosion in a retaurant. Lots of people trapped.
Prayers up for all, and for the first responders who are having a heck of a time putting the fire out.
7 Alarms. That’s a lot, especially in NYC.
How could it collapse? I thought steel doesn’t melt.
Saw this on FNC. Quite of an out of control fire in a building but I did not see a collapsed building. Pressure from fire hoses was Knocking large chunks of bricks off the building.
The NY Times reports:
“Stephen Davis, a spokesman for the Police Department, said construction work was being done at the two buildings involved, 121 and 123 Second Avenue, near Seventh Street, and workers from Consolidated Edison had been working at the site all day.
“Mr. Davis did not know the exact nature of the work being done.
It’s brick and mortar.
Clearly an INSIDE Job...likely the work of Bush and the Joos...
Termits mo Thermite..thats it...No...a Small Nuclear Device Built into the walls....
Note that here were No Joos In The Building!!
The irony was no one was killed just badly banged up.
I’m hoping McSorley’s is okay. I was just there a few weeks back. One of the best (and oldest) pubs in NYC.
Thanks for posting this. That’s my old neighborhood. Amazing pix at the link. If no one was killed or seriously hurt that will be a miracle.
I’m with you, immediately thought Meth Lab.
I mmediately thought it was a Japanese restaurant because instead of wildy speculating here on FR, I did a google search on the address and found that there indeed is (was) a Japanese restaurant at this address. Later confirmed by an eywitness who describe the aftermant in a clear cohernet tone to a WABC reporter who was trying to goad him in to being emotional. What were you feeling?
Fist video I saw was a hysterriaal woman screaming about the chaos.
