Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was on The Kelly File tonight to react to the news that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) will seek the Republican nominee for president in 2016.
Megyn Kelly asked Paul about some of his supporters who were in the audience at Cruzs announcement, sporting Stand With Rand shirts.
We were glad to see them there and organized and excited about the possibility of me running, he said.
Paul said that he didnt hear much that he disagreed with during Cruzs speech today.
We kind of come from the same wing of the party, he said. If you look at our voting records, youll find that were very, very similar.
The Kentucky senator said that he and Cruz are different in their approach to growing the Republican Party. Paul explained that he tries to bring in new people through the messages of liberty and the Bill of Rights....

Because the blimps haven't all been painted over with his name yet?
Interesting. Most candidates try to differentiate themselves and Paul seems to be trying to be like Cruz.
Megan has a thing for Paul. She made Ted Cruz Presidential announcement to be all about Rand Paul.... Very weird
The GOPe Network anchors have their orders. Take out anyone who opposes the Murdoch-Adelson-Obama open borders stampede.
So far, the stupidest question of the day!! Megyn sure loves the sound of her own voice, but she is not too bright sometimes.
Paultards being Paultards.
She might have a thing for him, but I think the reason is that he was in the building. I don't watch Fox much anymore, but last night I saw the tail end of her show and the first part of Hannity's, and he had Paul on his show. I've noticed that with some politicians, if they show up for one Fox News show, they hang around as special guest on the next show. So, I guess Fox decided to make it Rand Paul day yesterday.
To her credit, she tried to recover by giving Ted Cruz and exclusive 15 minutes or so last night. Then she brought on Brit Hume who was also sort of nice toward Ted Cruz, but clearly not in Cruz’s camp. He finds strange those who consider Cruz’s filibuster to have been helpful toward the mid-term elections.
At the end of the day, though, Kelly’s using Rand Paul as a commentator on Ted Cruz’s announcement to run will only make sense if she uses Ted Cruz as the major commentator on Rand Paul’s announcement. I’m betting that she does not do that.
The most over rated talent on Fox...
We kind of come from the same wing of the party,
Dream on Rand! Rand’s in the “mental health wing” of the party, alongside his nutjob dad.
So far, the stupidest question of the day!! Megyn sure loves the sound of her own voice, but she is not too bright sometimes.
LOL. My take was the opposite from yours.
I thought it was the ultimate put down. "Hey stupid, Cruz outsmarted you, and he has all the attention and everyone knows you're running."
BTW, Breto, I think Megyn, LIKES Cruz. Fellow lawyers and she admires his brilliance.
Should say:
Who is RAND Paul?
....google RON Paul
I’m fairly convinced that some day Rand’s son will be running for president. It’s the family industry. They don’t have a dynasty of president’s. They have a dynasty of campaigners.
That's a real stretch for Paul. He is neither Republican or conservative.
He’s a pander bear.
She thinks she is the bleached blonde answer to news in America.
