I have to admit that I have been interested in using a 3-D printer for years now for various projects... but mostly for reproducing hard to find vintage uniform pieces that would be used in displays that my wife and I set up. I keep coming back to wanting a CNC milling or routing machine more. They have the ability to work with a wider variety of materials and can be used for many projects which have real world applications such as milling or completing AR-15 lower receivers that can rival the quality of manufacturer’s parts.
