I’m betting that it’s made up- the people they speak to are coached what to say- either that or lots of people DID get the right answer, and they only showed the few who didn’t

Bingo!!! Videos like this one are theater, and correct answers make for boring theater.

after watching all the ‘reality tv’ shows like ax men, swamp loggers, berring sea gold etc- it has become clear they are not reality tv- not In the sense of actual spontaneous video of people at work- I’ve caught the various shows in one manufactured scene after another-

The ‘bar fight’ between Scott and his captain where scott supposedly ‘broke a glass in the face of vern’ where you could clearly hear the glass break- I went through the scene frame by frame- and the glass was intact when scott’s hand dropped back to his side- and it was very obvious they dubbed I n the sound of glass breaking- I even confronted the show about it on A&E website, and they denied dubbing in the sound, Yet aftyer I explained I went through the video frame by frame, they went silent and wouldn’t answer-

Ax men- one of the workers supposedly got his hand caught between cable and log, and the operator yanked the log up the hill- and the logger went into antics pretending his hand was hurt- the log makes it’s way to landing, and I look at the glove and thought something was wrong- backed video up, and lo and behold, when the logger supposedly got hand under cable it was the LEFT hand glove, but when log got to landing, it was the RIGHT hand glove that was under the cable- woopsie doodle!

and just a whole bunch of other ridiculous crap where the cameras are always in the right spot to capture ‘spontaneous accidents’ like when swamp loggers were hauling a boat down the road- and trailer twisted off the truck’s hitch- cameras set up on bumper to catch the action- parker’s rock truck tipping over, cameras set up underneath truck to capture it- Todd’s father supposedly “accidently” knocking over wash plant with a log- camera strapped to end of log to capture the whole scene

[[boring theater]]

I’ve come to that conclusion myself, I now just tape these shows and get right to the gold count at the end- but who knows, maybe even that is fabricated as well- maybe discovery channel is loaning them the gold to make it look like they are getting more than they actually are- who knows?

U.S. students don’t know much about American history, according to results of a national test released Tuesday.
Just 13 percent of high school seniors who took the 2010 National Assessment of Educational Progress — called the Nation’s Report Card — showed solid academic performance in American history. The two other grade levels tested didn’t perform much better, which just 22 percent of fourth-grade students and 18 percent of eighth-graders scoring proficient or better.
The test quizzed students on such topics as colonization, the American Revolution, the Civil War and the contemporary United States. For example, one question asks fourth-graders why it was important for the United States to build canals in the 1800s.
“The history scores released today show that student performance is still too low,” said Education Secretary Arne Duncan in a prepared statement. “These results tell us that, as a country, we are failing to provide children with a high-quality, well-rounded education.”
