“Happy Eggs” touted as from free range chickens were $3.96 a dozen at a store in Houston suburbs this weekend. I bought the store brand for $1.93 a dozen - certainly made me happy. Impossible to tell the difference once they are whipped up with other stuff and served in an omelet.

Close to $6 for the ones the wife likes, the cheapest, grunted out by a trashcan chicken behind the car wash ones are like $2.99.
I thought they’d granted them amnesty for a moment...
