These are actually the "New" New Americans.
They join the many more millions of "Old" New Americans we have picked up since Teddy K's Immigration Reform Act of 1965, who originally numbered MOL some 35 million legal immigrants, but who have had ample time over the past half century to increase and multiply.
Nor have we addressed the government's fabled "11 million illegal aliens" who are perennially alive and well and cranking out anchor babies. (That "11 million" figure coming solely from the Southern California Counties Census of 1985.)
So Badger, how many millions of new Democrats is that in toto? Talk to me after the elections of 2016 and we'll all have a more accurate (sobering?) answer. In the meantime, let's all welcome all these quaint and colorful New Democrats, whom the more senior among us had glimpsed only in lush Kodachrome in the feature stories of our childhood "National Geographics." In those old National Geographic stories we were invariably told how much these smiling folks "liked Americans."
In real life they somehow tend to seem rather less amusing, expensive, and once on our turf, not all that fond of us and our ways.
That was the ‘OLD’ strategy, just getting them into the US, and not ‘settling’ them in any particular place. They tended to settle in southern California and south Texas, Arizona, etc. in large ‘communities’ apart form the gringos.
The ‘NEW’ strategy is to ‘place’ them in ‘welcoming communities’ that are strategically placed all across the US so as to have the most impact on elections, both state and local as well as national.
Remember all those ‘youths’ and ‘children’, some in their 30’s, that came here en masse last summer? Where did they go? The feds would not tell us where they were being sent and dispersed them all across the country. Key to their placement were the results of the 2012 and 2014 elections and which districts needed the most ‘new’ democrat votes to swing them into their camp come the 2016 elections.
This is an evil, treasonous methodical invasion of our country abetted and directed by the WH and DNC to steal all future elections for their candidates.
We, as a nation may not be able to recover from this insidious plan unless it can be stopped dead in its tracks.
THAT is why they are fighting so damned hard on this IMMIGRATION provision that the House wants to pass as part of the DHS bill. They know it will put a kink in their plans for the next election............................
