I’ve been sharing your responses simply for the entertainment value in your incredulity at long established scientific fact and how such facts would be impossible for the Deity to arrange. It’s not really any genuine interest in what you think, only what you’re willing to put in print.

Well .. GOD created the heavens and the earth .. so I’d go for logic instead of pie in the sky prognostications. That way .. it would only be logical that if the sun is closer to the earth, then we should be having warmer weather. And .. therefore, if the sun is farther away from the earth .. logically it should mean that our weather would be cooler. In the southern hemisphere, it is currently summer. Sydney, Australia has a forecast of 82 for tomorrow.
Whether we have winter or summer has more to do with whether we are on the side of the Earth inclined toward or against the Sun, than with our distance. The Earth's orbit is close to circular. See here.
If you don't believe me, nor my links, that's fine. I'm not interested in arguing the matter, you are welcome to believe what you wish.
