Obama Approves Funding for Pipeline
Keyan Pipeline Company Ltd. ^ | 2-26-2015 | Self

In 2014, the World Bank Group committed $5 billion in new technical and financial support for energy projects in six African countries, including Kenya, which have partnered with US president Barack Obama’s Power Africa initiative. Among the projects funded, is the world's longest heated pipeline, which will bring newly discovered Ugandan oil fields to market. The Japanese conglomerate, Toyota, is the major contractor. Much of the oil, is committed to Asian markets, like China.

On February 24, 2015 President Barack Obama, vetoed the Keystone XL pipeline, which would be a big boost to mid American and Canadian oil production. When Rudy Giuliani, makes the claim, that Obama does not love the US, the way that Americans love the US, they have tangible evidence.

This Ugandan oil, is a heavy waxy variety. It is not light, sweet crude. The oil will be more difficult to refine and transport.

At least we know where his priorities lie. The GOP could certainly jump on Obama for this, but they'll instead stay in the fetal position.

Comrade obama never had any intention of allowing Keystone construction and he endeavored to suppress that revelation as long as possible through regulatory process.

Why are Republicans helping the African power initiative? Because the World Bank, will earn interest, on a lucrative investment. This is not a zero sum game. I hope Kenya does well on the oil pipeline. This revelation, just highlights the phoniness of the Global warming, bad for the environment, the oil will produce no jobs Democrat lies.

There is no way around it, Obama is PUNISHING America.

Does this mean:

A: 0bama knows pipelines are safe?

B: 0bama doesn't care if Ugandans get sick and die?

C: 0bama is getting big money out of this in some way?

D: All of the above?

Is there a link to the pipeline project discussed and the World Bank involvement?

So far the only thing I’ve found on it [so far] is for 51% to go to “private investment” the remainder the governments of Kenya and Uganda.

Since you have been unable to find a link to support your claim, let me help you a bit.

It wasn’t $5 billion, it wasn’t Obama, and it is not tax payer dollars.

The Bank Group’s pledge includes $600 million from the IFC, its private sector arm, which will support economic development in the countries of the Horn. IFC investments under the new Horn Initiative will include a regional pipeline linking Uganda and Kenya

The World Bank has pledged some $600 million to facilitate the construction of a regional pipeline linking oil fields in Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan, the lender said Monday.

In a statement, the World Bank said that the funds would be provided by its private lending arm, the International Finance Corporation
