Just what is going on down there, anyway...?
Basically a cover-up. Whatever this is seems to go deeper than a gang trying to silence somebody trying to leave.
Well-said.
There’s probably a couple million a month of drug sales going through this community. Everyone washes their hands with the money....the cops, the prosecution, and it probably goes onto the regional political folks as well. Someone puts $5k or $10k into a political campaign and expects a favor. If you don’t like the favor required...quit politics because they will find the right guy to handle the problem. Even the judges likely fall into this pit.
Maybe it’s tragic, but’s reality now in most parts of the US.
Here is what I gathered since first reading about this case.
It's an invasion point. Foreigners have moved in and taken over the town. They own the law enforcement. They have buddied up with the local criminal/gang elements. The Feds have avoided it like the plague due to orders from Barry and crew. Town is probably on a list to become the next 'no-go zone'.

Sounds like the gangbangers were not the only ones involved with criminal activities and thier profits. It it were just low level gangbangers they would have benn caught this goes deeper into the local politicians nest and thier protectors
You have to think of a gang or drug enterprise like a business. You have a business strategy...some organization...membership...CEO...board...profits...losses.
When you look at a legit business....most all have political people that they’ve paid for tax credits, marginal enforcement of laws, marginal inspection processes, limited banking regulation, etc. Well, the drug enterprise has done the same thing except down to the local level where you live. You need a chief of police or sheriff who cooperates and rarely does any enforcement....if he does...it’s strictly on your competition of illegal drug sales. This makes them look good and cuts down on your competition.
In this case, they need to make the investigation look so bungled up, with no firm evidence....that folks just start to forget about the murder and move on. If you look back over the past hundred years....this is why people put so much trust in the federal response (outsiders) on fixing issues like this because the locals and state apparatus is completely bought-off.
All I know is that it’s nearing the filing deadline and chambers still has no opponent in his District 17 race, either in his democrat primary or the republican primary. I cast a write in vote against him in his last general election but nothing was organized, just a protest.
I could do the same
We never heard about those tower pings and phone records did we?
“We never heard about those tower pings and phone records did we?”
No we didn’t. This needs to be taken care of, possibly the Governor should step in and put MBI in charge of the investigation.
“chambers” ?? ...did you mean Champion?
Perhaps you should actually read the article.
You mean I wrote all that about the timeline and cell tower pings etc. just so people could comment on it without actually reading it?
Wrong thread?
I’ll read it again, I had heard the announcement from Champion that they didn’t know where she was between the M&M and the site of the murder but didn’t know of the phone call until I read your article, with the phone calls and tower location they should have an idea.
