That kinda was my first thought also. What is coming into those ports that America really needs?

A lot of auto parts and other small parts and assemblies. Many companies have embraced “Just in time” deliveries and carry little to no inventory. The impact will be felt quickly.
Sure there are the plastic chotzkies - but there are also medical devices (rollators, wheelchairs, canes, crutches), box mattresses, castings, electronics, on and on...
Some of it has shelf lives and may end up worthless - acid batteries come to mind - if they aren’t trickle charged (typically within 6 months of manufacture) then they can’t be recovered.
What is coming into these ports ...?
No one has really pinned this on the dock strike, but the factory where I work has been running out of parts more and more. Some of the parts come from China then are assembled in the US for us.
I don’t know how much work we will have next week.
