An imam on British television taught me more in a few minutes than any of the books I have read on Islam, some of them quite instructive. After railing at Israel and America, the imam smiled knowingly and said that if God did not want those skyscrapers to fall, he wouldn't have let airplanes fly into them. I almost shouted, "Then I guess God wants Palestinians to suffer, or else he wouldn't let Israelis do all those awful things you say they do!"
I hear endless lamentations about our not having a strategy to defeat "Islamic extremism" or whatever the day's euphemism is. The cynic in me says that what we really need is to get rid of our strategy of helping the Muslim Brotherhood and the mullahs in Iran. But if we have to have a strategy, here it is.
We blow some ISIS bastard to smithereens and shout, "Allahu Akbar!" We take out Iran's nuclear reactors and say, "If Allah wanted Iran to have a nuclear bomb, he wouldn't have dropped those bunker-busters."
Islam holds that there are no "secondary causes," that is, that God never acts indirectly, by means of natural law, but always directly, willing everything that happens. Fine, then, let secondary causes, cruise missiles, for instance, or rifle bullets, kill as many of our enemies as it takes for them to have to come to their senses. Make them believe that Allah is killing them. Make them believe it for so long that they stop believing the absurd promise that heaven is full of beautiful virgins waiting lustfully for their smelly carcasses. Tell them over and over again that Allah is killing them, and doing it directly, without intermediaries, such as drone pilots or Marine snipers, and they will just want a drink.

After watching this presentation, if you STILL believe that Bush was correct when he called islam a “religion of peace” (it’s not a religion and it ain’t peaceful) and Obama was right when he recently declared islam morally equivalent or superior to the Christian Crusades, you are DEFINITELY a BIG part of the problem.

The only winning strategy involves either relentless carpet-bombing campaigns, seek and destroy missions, and/or tactical nukes.

The attitude of Moslems is that "If Allah wills for the infidels to kill me then I die." The Moslem cares for his own life no more than he cares for the life of the hated infidel.
The only strategy that would abate the Jihad is to deprive the Moslem states and populations of the resources necessary for Jihad. Moslem societies are poor societies because of their religion and Shariah. They are invariably subsistence populations with a minute ruling group that lives in splendour. The people do not improve themselves beyond subsistence because the rulers take anything that is created beyond that bare subsistence. If wealth increases in the society through raiding it goes to Jihad. If Jihad increases the wealth available it goes to conquest. Conquest provides the resources for further conquest which continues until serious and repeated defeats destroy the means for expansion and conquest. In the modern era, oil money and foreign aid substitute for the wealth building raid and conquest.
The west to squash Islamic society back to passiveness must deprive it of that wealth, colonize the oil fields and with no recompense to the Moslems on whose lands it is found. And there must be no transfers of wealth from prosperous peoples to the Moslems. It does not help Moslem people at all except the rulers who use it to bring their ruling splendor back up to the appropriate standards of opulence then what remains goes to Jihad. Deprive the Moslems of that excess wealth and those countries become once more poor backwaters of the world and Jihad is in abeyance for the nonce.
Kill ‘em,kill ‘em all.

Nalpalm is banned due to humanitarian concerns that it makes nasty photographs. FAE is more effective, anyway.
There is a rather small scale, but effective means of putting the radical Islamic genie back in its bottle. Get a group of the largest intelligence agencies to conduct a worldwide program of taking out the “instigators”. And to make it look like an accident, if convenient.
There are likely fewer than 10,000 Islamic agitator-instigators in the world, propelling the vast majority of this nonsense. While there are potential replacements, they will not be as effective for a long time.
In effect, instigators would sign their own death warrant, by calling for murder and terrorism. Then they would go home, slip in the bathroom and break their neck, or the equivalent.
A great example is that Imam in Texas who inspired Major Hasan and several other terrorists. He could be taking a nature walk when attacked by several wild pigs, who would then dine on him. Bad luck.
In other circumstances, like a radical madrassas school in Pakistan, some unknown aircraft might let slip a 5000 pound bomb while school was in session. And imagine the hilarity if the bomb fragments had Chinese writing on them.
FAE is awesome but when is it ever used?
The USAF used it in Iraq. You can clear a rather large area with it.

I spent two semesters in Turkey as a visiting professor in the engineering school at Marmara U., in Istanbul. I never could understand how my students could accept, on the one hand, what they were being taught about the laws of nature, and on the other hand, believe that there are no secondary causes, but everything that happens involves the direct intervention of Allah. Sounded like double-think to me, but that was their problem, not mine.
