And considering that those figures represent the 30% that makes it to a welfare family, that cost is double for the amount kept by the government.
In other words, for each $30K given in ‘benefits’ there is $70K kept by the government to ‘manage the program’
Or.. the equivalent of one full-time govt. employee for each family on welfare.

I consider a good many government jobs to be a form of welfare. A lot of the people putting in 40 hrs a week in their little cubicles are utterly unemployable.
So, yes, 1 family at home gets $30K, and one family in the office gets $70K -- it's just a whole bunch of welfare.

The sheeperals that support these programs do so because it makes them feel good about themselves.
The “elites” like these programs because it keeps people down, on both the confiscation and the receiving end.

Don't forget that Welfare taxes you twice. Welfare dollars mean more money chasing scarce food commodities. Now you have my dollar and Aisha's welfare check chasing the same banana, so the price goes up.
