The global warming religion is not above manipulating data to create converts. Just a few weeks ago they were declaring 2014 the hottest year on record, this despite the fact that most of the world actually cooled a touch. Now it has come to light that climate scientists have been manipulating temperature data by adjusting the actual data collected at weather stations across the world. Conveniently these “scientists” always adjust the temperature up. They’ve been doing this throughout South America and the Arctic. They’re even doing it here in the United States. The fraud at this point is undeniable. Which of course means the adherents to this religion will attack the messengers or otherwise make arguments unrelated to the manipulated data.
Meteorologist Anthony Watts suggests that the adjusted temperature data is the sort of thing that within the business world people go to jail over. In reality such people simply go to the Bureau of Labor Statistics to create fictitious unemployment rates based on “adjusted” data. Kidding aside, taxpayers around the globe have wasted billions, if not trillions on battling global warming climate change. Governments are less likely to care about any of this manipulation, largely because they are the beneficiaries of it. When enough hysteria is created over global warming climate change the state knows its power will increase because the “solutions” always involve increased government. As yours truly has suggested for years, simply follow the money when it comes to science.
Scientists paid by the government has an incentive to reward their benefactors with studies that can be used to increase state power. If that means manipulating real temperature data by adjusting it upward so that warming appears without any warming, so be it. We’ve already seen these people manipulate computer models so that they predict wholly ridiculous outcomes that are meant to create hysteria and a call to government action. While Al Gore has spent time declaring the oceans are going to rise, he’s buying ocean front property in California. The polar ice caps are melting, so they declare. Yet it has increased substantially in recent years. When the Arctic ice caps haven’t increased, Antarctica has. These days they’re both increasing, so conveniently they’re no longer discussed.
Let’s face it, the global warming climate change crowd has never actually been about truth. Their entire existence is due to government. Their solutions are almost exclusively government driven, anti-free enterprise solutions. As with all socialists, they’re willing to lie in order to manipulate people into buying into their position. Can’t manipulate people? A little personal terrorism in the form of ostracism and otherwise treating opponents like idiots has never been above the left. They’ll manipulate data, they’ll manipulate language. They never use the term global warming anymore, largely because the public doesn’t buy that the Earth is warming. So the left substituted the term “climate change.” Who could possibly deny that the climate is changing, thus setting up any opponent to be a climate change denier.
That no one has ever denied that climate changes doesn’t matter, the term is all about manipulating the masses. These days every single weather event is attributed to “climate change” and thus is bad, if not terrible. A big snow storm in Boston in February is proof of climate change! A tornado in Oklahoma in June is proof of climate change! A big hurricane in Florida in September, again climate change! When there are no hurricanes in Florida, that too is due to climate change! It’s all very bad you see, climate change is a complete disaster and we are to view it with the utmost suspicion and fear. It’s so absurd you almost have to chuckle at it. Of course none of these fear based declarations have anything to do with whether mankind is causing massive weather changes here on Earth. Hurricanes, snow storms, the abundance or lack thereof tell us nothing about whether mankind is responsible. Neither does manipulated temperature data, though manipulated data does call into question whether or not we should trust the adherents of the global warming religion.

Poor little scientists didn’t have a choice. If they hadn’t manipulated the data, they wouldn’t keep getting those big money grants don’t you see....then they would be out on the street without a job.
For the most part, that's not what they do. They mainly adjust past temperatures to make them colder.
Boston has only received 65” of snow so far. Just wait untill the middle of March, and the amount is 100”. Will the Gorebots give up their religion? Nah. Don’t believe your lyin’ eyes.
Like my Dad used to say, “If you have to lie to make your point, you don’t have much of a point.” That little saying was so simple, but the masses seem to miss it every time.
And yet they adjusted temperatures at weather stations throughout the world up. For years no less, to make it look as though there was sustained global warming when in reality there wasn’t any.
You have to know someone is lying in order to realize what a weak point is being made. There has been a lot of global warming skepticism in the US, it’s one of the reasons why Americans were quick to question claims that 2014 was one of the warmest years on record. However in other parts of the world, Europe in particular, the masses don’t seem to realize they’re being lied to.
The US is historically unique in that we have never fully trusted our “betters” in government or in any other field of study. While Europe pretends to have cut themselves off from their aristocratic past, they haven’t at all. They still trust their betters in government and their betters in other fields. That the commoner can become a government official, scientist or barrister hasn’t changed their reverence for the position. As such, when a scientist claims global warming he should be trusted out of hand in Europe whereas in the US his claims will be met with more skepticism and questioning.
Well written,but to many of us,this is not news. There are many out there,who are otherwise reasonably brilliant,that think the climate change folks are performing a public service & therefore are not really doing it for the money. They apparently don’t understand the concept about “following the money”. I guess I wouldn’t mind if they were the only ones paying for this fiasco.
