I don’t really have time for this debate because I am out earning a living, but anyone who is on the FREE Republic should be supporting those who CHOOSE to not vaccinate their children. It is crap like this, comments made about “anti-vaxxers” that makes me, a long time (fourteen year) Freeper wonder WTH has happened to you people?? First, I am one of those Freeper non-vaxers, with a major in nutrition and a minor in biochemistry. I guarantee you I could out-debate someone as ignorant as you on the topic of vaccines and having you crying in your drink in a few hours.
I have been studying this topic for 25 years, and I have seen both sides. I worked for the pharmaceutical industry, for the health department, for hospitals and everything in between. If you think that you can believe anything the Pharma Industry and the CDC says, then you don’t deserve the title of Freeper. Why don’t you do your dam* research before thinking you know jack-crap about this topic. I have spent at a minimum 3,000 hours studying this topic. But that’s right, all you Freepers who 1.) Believe your doctor (who was educated by the Pharma Industry, btw) 2. Or read that magazine or newspaper article on vaccines (funded by Pharma, btw) 3.) Or believe the CDC (a revolving door to Pharma, btw), pick up some NOT FUNDED BY PHARMA information and educate yourselves! Oh, and though I was anti-vaccine long before anyone knew who Jenny McCarthy was, she has more facts about vaccines in her little finger than you have in your entire brain.

But it was left-wingers who drove the anti-vaccine crusade that contributed to the outbreak.

Was it an anti-vaccine crusade that cause it, or a massive influx of illegal immigrants?

I don't believe any of your research claims or your credentials. There's no reason to believe some crank on a website over the entirety of medical and scientific study and literature. People like you belong at InfoWars and DU, with crazy claims of vaccinations being a conspiracy. Pffft.

Reminds me of all of those engineers who claim that 9/11 was an I side job, and that no one without an engineering degree can have an opinion.

Piss off, and keep your kids out of schools with other children and out of public places.

It’s just a coincidence that nasty diseases are coming back just as the border is being opened.

Bully for you! For some reason the low information freepers seem to think this is a new movement in the country. They apparently don’t know or refuse to believe that it’s not the “IN THING” as others posted on threads yesterday or that ONLY THE WEALTHY buy into non vaccination.

For myself, it began 79 years ago when my parents refused to vaccinate their four children - and freepers can save themselves the trouble of chiming in that there weren’t any vaccines then. The smallpox scars on their arms from vaccination said otherwise. AND being a farm family, we were hardly wealthy! Do not these PRO VACCINATION folks have relatives that old to perhaps get some perspective on other than living in today’s world?

Non vaccination has been carried on down through our family for more than 80 years as I am the youngest of the four children. Since then, we’ve had our own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our reasons are no one’s business and we don’t have any horror stories to tell about seeing the bad effects of vaccines. There are plenty of those if one wants to delve into them. It’s simply a personal choice of not deliberately poisoning our children’s bodies...

Food for thought. I have posted this on other threads on this subject and I have yet to hear one remark about it. Too damaging to swallow on the side of MANDATORY VACCINATION perhaps? Anyone is free to check the links to the CDC if they’re interested but something tells me, they won’t be interested.

http://healthimpactnews.com/2015/zero-u-s-measles-deaths-in-10-years-but-over-100-measles-vaccine-deaths-reported/

Some day these people will give up the argument. Yesterday a freeper even quoted Whoopie Goldberg’s thoughts on the subject. I am tired of hearing about “the science”... These same people ridicule anyone who believes in global warming and that’s based on SCIENCE, is it not? The arguments on these two subjects is nothing more than concensus...

Now the insults and name calling can begin.....

You are 100% wrong on all counts!

You must associate with liberals or you would be above the name calling and insults.

Don’t forget RFK jr and Runt Paul.

Runt Paul is a doctor. What is he doing spouting this crap? Is he pandering as he did with those Ferguson riots?

Wow, still predicting that Ebola is going to kill us all?

Here is Rand Paul's Ebola insight to both how the military moves units and small troop numbers and how they handle infectious disease and bio warfare operations.

He also criticized President Obama’s decision to send some 3,000 military members to West Africa. “You also have to be concerned about 3,000 soldiers getting back on a ship. Where is disease most transmittable? When you’re in a very close confines on a ship, we all know about cruises and how they get these diarrhea viruses that are transmitted very easily,” he said. “Can you imagine if a whole ship full of our soldiers catch Ebola?”

Actually an MIT researcher verified it. But I know that the anti-vax crowd isn't concerned with evidence, so no need to argue it with you.

WOW - an MIT researcher - I’m impressed.. Wasn’t it an MIT researcher who said the American public was stupid? Must be he was right!

Try this EVIDENCE on for size and check the CDC links while you’re at it if you’re not afraid of the truth:

http://healthimpactnews.com/2015/zero-u-s-measles-deaths-in-10-years-but-over-100-measles-vaccine-deaths-reported/

Just so you don’t miss it - ZERO MEASLES DEATHS IN 10 YEARS BUT OVER 100 MEASLES VACCINE DEATHS REPORTED..

As the article says - EASILY VERIFIABLE!

On a lot of things, I would agree.

ZERO MEASLES DEATHS IN 10 YEARS BUT OVER 100 MEASLES VACCINE DEATHS REPORTED..

Considering that in 2000, measles had been declared largely eradicated, it would make sense that no one died of the disease. If no one has the disease because of vaccination, no one can die from it.

I'm not sure why you think this point has merit.

The VAERS database also doesn't record causality, but merely correlations, so even if the 108 number were correct (which it isn't), it wouldn't mean vaccines killed those people.

As the article says - EASILY VERIFIABLE!

But, easily debunked as erroneous. Nice try:

Measles Fact sheet

And, the 108 number isn't from the CDC, it's from the National Vaccine Information Center, and anti-vaxer non-profit front group.

A Look at Anti-Vaxxers’ Monstrously Bad Measles Math

The idea that "diseases don't kill people, vaccines do", seems to be a kind of mental illness. The amount of stupidity here spouted by the anti-vax cult has been entertaining and depressing at the same time.

Who thought a bunch of Freepers would adopt a left wing elite cause like not vaccinating your children because big Pharma wants to kill them? Amusing at best.

Back at ya!! I am so glad to see there are other Freepers here who actually think for themselves, as opposed to saying the most STUPID response ever regarding those who do not believe in vaccinating their children...”Just keep them out of school and away from mine!!” Okay then. I will make sure to keep my unvaccinated children away from your vaccinated child so your vaccinated child is not exposed to the measles that said vaccine is suppose to prevent. Oh. My. Goodness. You can’t debate with someone who is that stupid AND thinks for one second that I would send my chdren to public school for more indoctrination from the government. Me thinks there is a troll among us. Oh, just in case Gunrunner is reading this (because you sound pretty narcissistic and can’t resist reading about yourself) I am indeed educated as I say I am. But actually that doesn’t matter in this debate. Any person who took the time to read the actual data (for example at the links that Thank You Rush repeatedly posts for you) could learn the facts regarding vaccines that you clearly have neither the ability nor interest to discover. Sad really.

“”Who thought a bunch of Freepers would adopt a left wing elite cause like not vaccinating your children””

LEFT WING? Give it up. There’s nothing left wing about families who have not vaccinated their children. They’ve been around much longer than the term “left wing” in spite of what you choose to believe.

AND I never thought a bunch of freepers would call for the government to pass a law regarding MANDATORY VACCINATION.

“”Considering that in 2000, measles had been declared largely eradicated, it would make sense that no one died of the disease - If no one has the disease because of vaccination, no one can die from it.””

Accordingly, I would say you believe there weren’t any unvaccinated children/people at that time. Amazing...

So the various links in the article I posted have no meaning to you as your mind is made up? The government settlements etc.; because you can’t sue the vaccine drug manufacturer. You don’t wonder why they have immunity from lawsuits?

How about the irony of sitting through beaucoup drug commercials on TV with all the BAD SIDE EFFECTS and no one will admit to BAD SIDE EFFECTS to vaccines?

Wrong, there's substantial documentation to back up the prime movers of this cult, and they're largely upper class elite leftists.

AND I never thought a bunch of freepers would call for the government to pass a law regarding MANDATORY VACCINATION.

It's not mandatory; it's only a prerequisite for attending a public school. If you don't want to vaccinate, keep your kids at home.

Accordingly, I would say you believe there weren’t any unvaccinated children/people at that time. Amazing...

It was vaccination efforts that quelled measles to be essentially eradicated. Or perhaps you think vitamins and hand washing eliminated it.

Amazing...or more accurate, amazingly stupid.

Do you think that smallpox eradication was achieved by 100% worldwide innoculation? Nope, but it was due to vast, widespread vaccination.

How about the irony of sitting through beaucoup drug commercials on TV with all the BAD SIDE EFFECTS and no one will admit to BAD SIDE EFFECTS to vaccines?

Another lie. No one here, and no pro-vaccination party or person has ever claimed that there are no side effects to vaccines.

Nice try, but fail.

Good, because vaccination is not a 100% guarantee from infection. And if you're responsible for contributing to an outbreak, I hope you're held liable.

Left wing elites describe the current pockets of anti-vaxers. Of course they come from all stripes, like 9/11 Truthers and anti-GMO activists.

But antipathy to vaccination is as old as vaccination; it goes back to the time of Jenner. Luckily vaccination won the battle against smallpox, which Jenner called "the scourge of mankind." We'd still be dealing with it (and the hundreds of millions dead left in its wake) if people like you were the norm. Luckily you're a small minority.

Anti-vaccine hysteria is a relic of a darker age of superstition and paranoia.
