The ad, as I posted it, looks perfectly fine to me. In fact, I quite like it ... :-) ...

Yes, I’ve seen the ad several times. It’s a slick, well produced ad.
I generally like that style of music and I am not particularly offended by the song as it stands (I’ve heard much worse), but I think it’s entirely inappropriate to use it in an advertisement.
Do you remember the Village People’s song “In the Navy”? The Navy wanted to use that in a recruiting campaign, without realizing what the Village People were all about.
Is there anything in that song that overtly promotes homosexuality? Not really, but the connection is still there, and the Navy missed it. But you take one look at the group in their costumes, and there’s no doubt at all.
So, someone sees the iPad ad, likes the song, and finds out who did it. Then they click over to YouTube and listen to the whole thing. Then they hear the offensive parts.
If they agree, they say “Yeah, Apple’s cool and edgy for putting that song in their ad”. They don’t want to think of Apple as the capitalist entity that it really is.
It’s a subtle connection, but it’s there.
