We own ourselves. But does this ownership equal a right to a free life as defined in the quote?
I am not certain what a “free life” means.
If it means I am entitled to food, shelter, etc., at someone else’s expense, then no.
If a “free life” means that I should be able to obtain these things unhindered by oppressive laws or regulations, or by crime, then possibly.
