Water. I read a long article a few years back about how nervous the Indians were about the Chinese dam projects going on. The out flow of water from Tibet affects numerous Countries besides India.

The Chinese, being long term thinkers, may have realized what a precious resource water is and that may have been why they invaded.

I don't know, but I do know that a war could easily start if the Chinese start manipulating the out flow of water from Tibet.
