Be sure to spend a little time with Thom Peters’ piece at Catholic Vote about Pope Francis, the new, projected encyclical on the environment and human ecology, and the UN.
There are pithy phrases which we might put on mugs and bumper stickers. I like:
If the future of the human race comes down to the results of a UN meeting, we’re doomed.
And:
The UN is also, as I said, incompetent. Worse: it is actively counterproductive.
I only half jokingly, well … maybe quarter jokingly… predicted that Pope Francis would sign his new encyclical at the UN. Francis does, however, want to influence the debate on the environment to take place at a UN sponsored gassy meeting in Paris next year.
Peters drills into how the media are treating the news about Francis’s encyclical. Along the way he makes some pretty good points. For example:
The original sin of climate change is that it pits human beings and nature against each other. The United Nations sees people, and particularly poor people, as the problem, as consumers, which is why they funnel so much money into birth control and population suppression policies. That’s why those who hold power at the UN are the very last people we should be going to if we truly want to help the poor!
While we will all, I am sure, admit that the Church has to have dealings with the UN, some representation in order to make the Church’s voice heard, I can’t fathom why we would want to get into bed with that organization.
The UN is one of the world’s biggest baby killers. And AIDS enablers. And money wasters. And tyrant enablers.
And they can be relied on to come in on the wrong side of every war or dispute.

Pope Francis of Pape Francois [ as he is called in Francais ] acts like an ambassador to the united nations than the Catholic Church.

While thousands of Christians are slaughtered by Muslims, Pope Francis debases his office meddling in trivial matters such as the global warming hoax while ignoring the mortal threats growing upon the Church and the World.
Tens of thousands of Christians have been tortured and slaughtered and Catholic churches set on fire in Nigeria, Sudan, Syria, Egypt and all around the Muslim world, while the Pope keeps repeating the mantra that Islam is a religion of peace.
Christians have been thrown out from the Middle East, the cradles of Christianity.
The Islamization of Europe and in American schools.
Millions of babies are being murdered in their mother’s wombs by abortion.
Islamic state, ISIS, promising to march into Rome and use St. Peter’s as a stable.
Millions of Christians in Africa are sold as sex slaves in Muslims countries.
In United States freedom of religion is curtailed for Christians and Jews, while Islam is promoted and Muslims are given preferential status by the Obama regime. Obama refers to the Bible as “the good book” while he always calls the Koran as “the holy Koran”.
Catholics in United States are forced to betray their faith and religious principles due to Obamacare mandates.
Pope Francis gave his support to the Marxist liberation theology, a corruption of the Gospels proscribed by H.H. John Paul II and H.H. Benedict XVI.
Pope Francis gave “moral” cover to Obama’s betrayal of the Cuban people deceiving the American taxpayers to assume the burden of keeping afloat the genocidal Stalinist regime that have kept enslaved for over half a century the Cuban people while remaining a threat to the security of United States.
He will perhaps be dubbed “The Foul Ball Pope”. His greatest hits are not even in the field of play.
Or maybe he is “The Ex-Lax Pope” — he makes leftist pronouncements with the greatest regularity.
One of Pope Francis’ advisers for his encyclical on the environment is the director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. Jeffrey Sachs is a longtime promoter of environmental measures, especially contraception and abortion, for purposes of population control. He was invited to Rome to participate in the Holy See’s climate-change summit in late April.
Pope Francis made a very demeaning comment criticizing as rabbits the Catholic mothers that are blessed with many children. The mother of St Catherine de Sienna, doctor of the Church, gave birth to 22 children. St Ignatius was the youngest of 13 children. How many more future Saints would be denied to live by Pope Francis’ birth control policy emulating Mao’.
Another adviser called by Francis is Leonardo Boff, one of the main leaders of the Marxist libration theology whose works were condemned by His Holiness John Paul II for the perversion of the Gospels with the inclusion of the main tenets of the Marxist ideology and was punished to silence for a year.
Speaking to Le Monde, days before of his recall to Rome, and previous to the definitive condemnation of his book, a defiant Boff affirmed that he “does not abjure for anything of the historical materialism.” Boff invoked Gramsci and Althusser. Gramsci was the communist theoretician of the seizure of power in developed societies. Althusser undertook the intellectualization of Stalinism. Boff said that “Is the poor who have hegemony, not the Church.”
St. Catherine of Sienna was her parents’ 25th child.
