Which so-called academic department is associated with this joke of a class?

Eliminate the department.

Burn the department head.

Raze the building.

Destroy all evidence of such idiocy.

Perhaps the university will then be able to regain what little is left of its laughable academic reputation.

What wife needs to get paid to give unsolicited/solicted advice to her husband?

I don’t remember EVER reading that the Previous President’s WIVES ever GOT PAID a salary.

Together, besides the perks and bonuses, they get a cool million from the taxpayers per year.

Psst: read your profile page. Still jobless? I just started hunting work. It usually hunts me. But now I find I am over qualified, too independent, not bi-lingual, or too white. Sigh.

“Ain’t kidding” as for the other yes, I am not a constituent group (I’m not too dark, not bilingual anymore, too old and I was for over 25 years, a stay-at-home-mom of four great kids. No bites even more. Found out in this economy: a stay at home mom with watching my own kids (gasp) watching others for free (gasp) being a school volunteer, Girl and Boy Scouts for four years plus substitute teaching doesn’t win me any extra points for job landing. I get the: “why didn’t you work”? (I have an engineering degree, and I DID WORK, I WATCHED my FOUR KIDS, CLEANED MY OWN HOUSE, DID MY OWN YARD, COOK OUR OWN FOOD, SHOPPED FOR OUR OWN FAMILY. We made the financial “sacrifice” to use ONE income so I could raise our kids. So and Engineering degree 30 year old isn’t worth much. I have my Paralegal (only want multi years of experience (I only had one) and I do have my earned K-8 and ESL K-12 license (no jobs for teachers without knowing someone. So much for the subbing and volunteering in teachers rooms all those years. Administration want to hire the young, cute ones. I’m not worth more than an Illegal Immigrant according to Barry and the Illegal Immigrant Lobby. Plenty of Americans looking and wanting work, the Zuckerbergs of the Hi-tech lying about the LACK of engineer so they can bring in low wage hi-techies and the rest we know what they want and I’m not bilingual nor the “right” ethnicity. It’s a disgrace and depressing.

Even though the job market is treating you unkindly, You by far made the right decision. There is no more important work than raising children.

I did not have children, but I was self employed and apparently that counts against me. At 55 I am still attractive, but I am not 30. Further, I know there are exceptions to the rule, but whenever I supervised, I had bad luck with those over 10 years younger than me because their work ethic was so poor.

I just started looking for work at the beginning of the year. My truck and property are paid for, I only need part time work.

I will include you in my prayers.

Thank you SisterK and good luck to you. A LOT of layoffs are happening here (in Phx area) last week and this week. High paying jobs in Defense/Aerospace and SkyMall Bankruptcy, yet Barry came here a week ago touting the economy.

Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad that I stayed home with my kids. I am sorry that too many don’t value taking care of one’s kids as a “career” or “job”.
