I was watching a thing on Dr. King last night. It showed a march in Chicago. King said of all the marches in Mississippi and Alabama none were as hostile as the one in Chicago. The left is mean and viscious.
Absolutely true. King and his followers really had no idea what they were getting into with the urban (and heavily politicized) industrial Northern ghettos. It was a completely different environment, and on a scale beyond anything they had ever seen.
Ironically, one of the people that predicted King’s efforts would fail for that very reason was Saul Alinsky.
