Back in the late 70’s I saw Livingston Taylor in a live show. In the middle of a song some lady stood up and yelled at him, “Are you James Taylor’s brother?”
He immediately quit singing, went silent for a moment, turned to her and said, “No, Madam, James Taylor is MY brother!”
It was quite impressive how he could keep the audience in the palm of his hand for 90 minutes with just his voice and an acoustic guitar.
James Taylor is a couple of years older, so I’d have to say that he is James Taylor’s brother.
