America's biggest abortion corporation has so many tendrils in We the People's paychecks that it's hard to determine all the steps necessary to uproot it. But that is not stopping the new Congress from moving to end public funding of Planned Parenthood.
LifeNews reports that 80 members of Congress have reintroduced the "Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act" for consideration in the House of Representatives. The head sponsor is Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.), a regular leader on pro-life and freedom-of-conscience legislation.
As Black puts it, "[t]his legislation would simply clarify the original intent and spirit of the law to ensure that Title X federal funded grants will no longer be awarded to 'health care' providers that fail to protect life by providing abortions."

What?!? Thwart the baby butchers? If the decision requires Hussein’s signature, he won’t sign off on the defunding.

Congress can’t override an Obama veto because there are democrats in the Congress that will uphold any socialist tyranny Obama does.

Yup, and the naysayers have already entered the thread.
Or maybe we aren't just ostriches with their heads in the sand who ignore the recent past when the GOP said they would do things like stop illegal immigration to get elected and them promptly do everything they can to fund that Amnesty?!
And there are many other examples.
Maybe we remember the GOP-E loudly telling us how conservative they are and then using procedural tactics to allow the Democrats to pass legislation they knew that we hated.
The list of Chicanery by the GOP-E is endless.
Rather live on hope with these traitors, I'll wait until they actually do the right thing.

The very title of this thread brings me optimism.
No one here has their head in the sand, just pointing out good news when I see it.
I, like you, will continue to hold the 'pubs feet to the fire, but for crying out loud, give credit when it's due.

I'm giving them all the credit they deserve.
They've done nothing but acquiesce and cower in the corner for the last 18 months and their first action after being elected this election cycle was to stab conservatives in the back by doing exactly the opposite of what they promised to do to get elected.
Actions that lead to accomplishments speak louder than anything else.
Once I see some accomplishments, and not just attempts at misleading and manipulating the voters, their constituents, I'll gladly pat them on the back, lead the parade to cheer them all, etc.
I will not be a Charlie Brown Republican!

Seeing will be believing!
I suspect that it will be about as effective as Noot’s reigning-in of NPR and PBS.
IOW, reducing the increase in their budget.
