I’m thinking the left’s official response will be along the lines of, “See? We told you there was too much gun violence!”
We’ll be told that unless gun control legislation is passed now, it is an insult to the memory of these 2 officers.
They’ll conveniently forget about Obama, Holder, and Sharpton stoking the flames that led to the assassination of these NYPD officers.
Things are getting pretty bad out there. We’d better suspend our Constitution and keep 0bama in office indefinitely!

All of these people met with the protestors and gave them succor. All of these people made public proclamations of solidarity with these protestors and legitimizing their "grievances".
Innocent blood is on their hands!

All those people in the sporting community that applauded the actions of the St. Louis Rams players who supported the Ferguson protesters and the NBA players who wore those I Can't Breathe T-shirts now have the blood of two dead men on their hands. That's something sports commentators that applauded what these athletes did will now have to ponder from now on.
Obama better address this issue on behalf of the police and law abiding citizens throughout the US or he will have chaos on his hands.

Those of you who are angry at the state-sponsored media for not mention the race or the religion of the lone-wolf terrorist (let’s call it what it is) should not underestimate yourselves, or the American public at large.
Just because the NYT hasn’t mentioned it, doesn’t mean ANYONE following the story doesn’t already know. As a typical red-blooded Real American, you immediately assumed the shooter was black (as I did). You then quickly make a check to make sure the shooter didn’t come from the confessional at St Patrick’s (as did I). We were right on both counts.
You are not racist or biased for thinking these things before they are even confirmed. You simply go by track record, and you’re own memory of recent events. You are in fact, no different than most other Americans.
I’m also in media. Allow me to explain a little about how this works:
In the news rooms, you’ll find the crem-dela-crem of Marxists from your ivy-league j-school (mostly lily white) who firmly believes that any in any criminal event, any mention of race or religion other that ‘white/Christian’ is
a) considered racist.
b) Frowned upon by upper management
c) likely to be spiked before going to press (or on air)
d) with a very stern warning about what will happen if it persists.
Not hard to enforce since most reporters believe option ‘a’ anyway.
You see, in their minds, if they don’t report it, it’s not an issue. Of course they know the perp is black. Of course they know is a just another worthless piece of Islam (yeah, I went there). And they know that YOU know that. But why give you (the Real American) the small victory of admitting that? By them not mentioning it, THEY don’t have to think about at the next wine and cheese party inside the gated community.
Not to mention the old adage: “Everyone slows down and looks at car/train wreck”. To some of the sickos in the newsrooms of America, this whole “Hans up Dont Shoot/I can’t breathe” BS is like pointing to high speed trains at each other on the same track and filming the results. Great for ratings, because they know knuckle heads like us...
... will be watching with the false hope that we may be told the whole truth - instead of the norm.

I also forgot to note: Instead of focusing on media not mentioning the race angle, I’d focus more on a pattern emerging in western countries of violent gruesome attacks perpetrated by those of similar background of recent days.
First against the majority, and now against law enforcement/uniformed officer directly.
Israel, Canada, France, UK - now the US. Even Russia and China got a taste in the last few months. In Germany, they are so sick of it, they’ve taken to the streets about it - only to be denounced by their own government for it.
If anyone else is picking up on this pattern, you’ll understand that the terrorist act in NYC against two officers is a symptom of a much large problem.
Anyone who helped instigate this needs to be thrown in jail and hauled up before a judge and tried on felony murder assist count.
