Yeah, right.
Apart from the "years of misery and death and damaged family and corroded society" drug abuse and alcohol abuse follow COMPLETELY different pathways. That's probably why Narcotics Anonymous uses the EXACT same model as Alcoholics Anonymous in helping people who want to stop using.
PS - What the hell are "heavy drugs" anyway? Do you actually know ANYTHING about pharmaceuticals and their effects on the human body and mind?
Alcohol doesn’t hook people instantly on their first drink.
There is no such thing as a social meth head user. Or a I only shoot heroin when I play cards, user. Or even a functional crack head user.
They estimate about 10% of people who drink are some form of alcoholic. That means 90% of alcohol drinkers do not become alcoholics. There are no people that take crack, heroin or meth that can control their drug use. They all turn into addicts from these drugs. Everyone who takes them says it only took one time to get hooked, they’re that strong.
Alcohol just isn’t the same as these hard drus. And you certainly know that. Not even all alcohol is the same.
