A new poll from the Pew Research Center is the first to gauge reactions to last week's big CIA report on "enhanced interrogation techniques" -- what agency critics call torture.
And the reaction is pretty muted.
The poll shows people says 51-29 percent than the CIA's methods were justified and 56-28 percent that the information gleaned helped prevent terror attacks.

I watched as about a dozen or so funerals/memorial services (mostly firemen) took place in the area where I live about 60 miles north of ground zero.
You almost expected to see a funeral procession everyday going down the road for weeks after the carnage of that terrible day.

Everyone making a big deal out of this and proclaiming it’s hypocritical to our values is a boo chit, poosy trying to gain some moral high ground and assuage their guilt for other sins by condemning this “really righteous act”, which a supreme irony considering one group of people will do anything to save Americans and another group will pull any stunt, throwing other Americans under a bus, well...when it’s convenient and danger has passed.

Nancy Pelosi, Jane Harmon, Jay Rockefeller knew all about what was going on.
None of these loons objected to a really awesome movie, made solely to prop up their hapless leader, where waterboarding was shown regularly and gloriously.
And Jessica “eat my Shiite” Chastain the new heroine of up and coming stars.
Waterboarding? That sure never came up in any conversations that I had.
What did come up were the word “Courageou”, over and over again, azz if Obama was himself ran up 3 flights of stairs, wasting terrorists along the way and finally offing Bin Laden, like some Kenyan super hero!
And how did we find that souless, turbin wearing, rat?
Well, we tor...erh, uhm...we simulated drowning, with medical staff and attorney’s in the same room.
Result?
The name of a nobody, sitting in a file, who no one paid any attention to until some choked on a couple ounces of water and we made sure he lived through the experience, with no lasting effects...other than the knowledge that the experience sucked.
Well, we followed that no name loser, working on Allah’s behalf and after years of observing patiently, finally made the case that Bum Laden was in that building and a few other names.
Waterboard? I slalom water ski, Longboard surf and snowboard worldwide.
I’d try waterboard....
