My thought has always been the average rounds carried by a soldier on patrol is 210 rounds I have a minumum of 10 times that (seperate from range ammo)I keep at all times for my battle rifle. Ten firefights you have either captured addition ammo or you are dead, Face it in SHTF if you got yourself in ten firefights you are either stupid or have a death wish or both.
That is why belt fed ammo is best....
I’d have to agree with you on that, a low profile is the key to survival.
