AND YOUR NEXT PRESIDENTIAL CONTENDER IS…RICK SANTORUM By Emily Zanotti on 12.11.14

Oh goodie.

In an interview with the Washington Post published yesterday, the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania made every indication that he would run for president again in 2016.

“We’re definitely the underdog in this race,” he told reporter Karen Tumulty. “We’re just obviously in a better place right now. Our message will be a lot more focused this time than it was last time.”

Santorum ran a surprisingly strong race in 2012 Republican primaries, acting as a conservative spoiler who briefly topped Mitt Romney in the polls. He won contests in 11 states.

As one who supported Rick during his last campaign, I say, “Not again”.

Uhmmm. No. Santorum has good intentions, but is too easy for the left to bait into saying troublesome remarks. Sometimes Rick was his own worst enemy. Maybe as an appointed position, but no, not even as a Vice President. We need to move on.

Do these people enjoy losing? How many times must they each run until they give up?

Yeah I like the guy but don’t want any of last season’s players either.

That said, whoever runs needs to take a real look at his blue collar conservative strategy. He pulled out a tie with Romney here in Michigan when McCain finished down 10 in 08.

Personally I’m hoping for Cruz.

RICK SANTORUM has zero chance. All he’ll do is split the conservative base so that we end up with someone like John McCain or Mitt Romney.

I puke in my mouth when I think about him getting back in it because I know the outcome. He couldn’t even win his home state anymore.

The candidate has probably already been decided behind closed doors . . . unless the people wake up and there is a groundswell for a true conservative candidate.

So true. We’ll likely have someone like Jeb that will lose to Hillary.

I supported Rick in the past. He needs to stay out of it this time. Cruz 2016.
