"Extra's" Charissa Thompson caught up with Sarah Palin on location for her Sportsman Channel show "Amazing America," where Palin opened up about running for president in 2016.
Palin explained, "2016 is a long time away… that's a big darn deal when it comes to family."
Thompson asked, "Hillary Clinton's name has been floating out there for a long time as the Democratic nominee. Are we ready for that?" Sarah responded, "I would love to see a woman on both sides of the aisle shooting for that top spot."
As for the second season of "Amazing America with Sarah Palin," Palin said, "There's so much to show… we're going to focus a lot on those who are reaching out and helping others. We're going to showcase a lot of these people who can inspire others to get out there and live vibrant lives. It's about work ethic, but still keeping that connection between faith, family, and love of freedom. That's America!"

On whether or not she'd ever be interested in joining <>"The View," Palin said, "I think it would be fun to be able to highlight more of the issues that they get to focus on… to do something positive and not necessarily so controversial. Something positive, encouraging and inspiring and not bickering sitting across a table or on a panel."
Palin also shared that her family is doing well. "My family is awesome. Perhaps they have some kind of target on their back because the liberal media types, they do not like constitutional conservatives who are going to call it like they see it and speak truth. So they'll do whatever they can to get you to sit down and shut up, but I'm not wired to sit down and shut up."

I don’t expect Palin to run, but I’d love for OK guv Mary Fallin to run.
A two-term, conservative governor who is strong on illegal immigration. None of the other GOP guvs under consideration are truly anti-amnesty. (That’s why the Beltway pundits bring up any other GOP governor ahead of Fallin.)
She’s got a great bio of accomplishment, and is a good public speaker.

True, and I am sure that Sarah, of all people, knows that. For those in the electorate that know that this election is hopefully about saving this country from its “non-existent” government, the last thing of importance is gender...as opposed to patriotism, qualification, character, and love of country. (Do we have any candidates that fit that list?)
Oh, also, she’s neither too youthful and experienced, nor too old and tired.
Of all the women whose names are floating out there, Sarah is the only one with executive experience.

Me too! Neither Palin nor Hillary are a Margret Thatcher that’s for sure....I’m simply not that impressed with women’s role in governance thus far....
I’d like to see Cruz as President for I think he can get things done needing doing of.

I think it's clear she learned a few years ago it's much easier & much more lucrative to be a cable news talking head, author, reality show star, and line up for the gravy train of traveling speeches than it is to hold the most difficult job on the planet.
But, she'll keep dangling the possibility out there so no one forgets about her.

My wife and I got in terrific traffic jam trying to go see her speak in 08. It was NOT because she is a woman.
Sarah is inadvertently supporting the constitutionally indefensible powers now being exercised by the corrupt feds imo. Patriot voters need to wise up and peacefully force the feds to surrender usurped state powers back to the states, or face another Obama or somebody even more lawless than Obama in a few elections cycles.
