Why?

When you have a perfectly good POTUS candidate in Ted Cruz would you want to try and crowd the field and give the Chamber of Commerce pretend Republican candidates more of an opportunity to win?

We need to coalesce around ONE conservative candidate and let the moderates and those willing to settle for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best split THIER votes this time.

Why can’t they coalesce around Sessions? I’m just asking.

What’s his record vs any of the other POTUS candidates?

I agree, but coalesce around a non-Ivy Leaguer.
28 consecutive years is enough.
Sessions is from Huntingdon College and Univ of Alabama.

Cruz is not “perfectly good” on immigration and Amnesty.

In 2000, he helped write the policy paper that became the Bush-McCain Amnesty in 2006.

In 2012, while running for Senate in Texas, he publicly campaigned for more foreign work visas for Texas farmers and ranchers.

In 2013, while giving a speech in El Paso after the “Gang of Eight” Amnesty bill passed in the Senate, Cruz said he would have voted for the Amnesty if it required “Certification” for border security, and if the “path to citizenship” was removed.

Those are both weasel GOP fallback positions because everyone knows “Certification” means nothing, and everyone knows the Courts, the RINO’s, and the Democrats will eventually find some way to give citizenship to those who have been Amnestied.

Finally, Cruz has never even suggested that our current insane LEGAL immigration policy should be changed.

That policy is 750,000 new citizens each year (80% of them vote for Democrats), 1.1 million new legal residents each year, and more than 1 million foreign work visas each year.
