His attitude is bad...without a doubt. Even worse is his playing style that leaves him hurt and unable to play several times during the season.
Style that works in college doesn’t always translate well in pro-football.
Fran Tarkenton; it was a joy watching him scramble and play..
So I called the talk show and reminded him of Marlin Briscoe.
You know, the former Denver Broncos starting quarterback, who became a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins and BEAT YOU in the Super Bowl.
“attitude”???....like what qb in the nfl doesn’t have a big attitude.....
Tebow could have been a heck of a tight end if he had tried
That jump from college to the pros is more than what the cheer leaders that run their mouths during the draft know. To them it is all about the money.
I remember this guy was supposed to be the 2nd coming, the hype was incredible. He had all of the ‘off-the-field’ tools, and the media positively loved him ..... Then when it came time to actually perform, he just fell flat.
As for RG3, he also had these same problems, but he did have some injuries that hurt his playing style.
In the former, I was speaking of 0bama.
The parallels are striking!
Bob is a good kid. He was thrown into a tumultuous situation in DC and was used to just win a few games, not to build a franchise. The problem with Bob is not his attitude, or his talent but the owner of the franchise. If Bob was allowed to develop and learn the speed of the game before there was pressure on him to win, he would be much better. His injuries were a product of inexperience and a management team’s (led by Snyder) desire for an immediate return on his investment. The fans would have accepted the three year process of building a team around him as long as there was progress. Most would have been okay with the king’s ransom they paid for him too because of the importance of the franchise QB, but their “eye’s got big” when they saw teams weren’t adjusting to read option and tried to take advantage of it instead of taking the long view.
He’s not perfect, but the talent is there.
Fran “Never Won a Superbowl” Tarkington.
Dan Snyder is incompetent. Dan please sell the team to someone with a clue....
Ouch! And Fran knows whereof he speaks.
