Recently, a Georgetown University student was the victim of a robbery committed at gunpoint in a supposedly safe area of Washington D.C. He and his companion were forced to the ground patted down and relieved of their valuables.
The student has written about his experience and in doing so revealed how poorly educated he is. He justifies the robbery because he is White and his robbers were Black.
The victim displays a bizarre level of liberal boot licking with his bleating about how, “Year after year, Washington, D.C., is ranked among the most unequal cities in the country, with the wealthiest 5 percent earning an estimated 54 times more than the poorest 20 percent.
According to the D.C. Fiscal Policy Institute, just under 20 percent of D.C. residents live below the poverty line.”
He wrote not a single word about why Washington is the mess it is. In the interest of advancing knowledge of history here is a brief history of how Washington D. C. went from the center of a growing Black middle class in the period from 1870 to 1914, to the ghetto it is today. Contrary to what the hand wringing victim thinks, Democrat Woodrow Wilson was the driving force behind the destruction of Washington’s growing Black middle class.
As a virulent racist, Wilson hated the children and grandchildren of former slaves who had thrived in Washington under previous Republican administrations. Wilson came from a slave holding family in Virginia which was known for tending to wounded Confederate soldiers.
Upon taking office in 1913 Wilson officially established segregation in all federal departments where none had existed since the end of the Civil War. Wilson brought Jim Crow segregationist laws to Washington, defiling our capitol city and staining our national honor...

There are so many good people in the Beltway, (yes, some are), but this type of one-upsmanship to acknowledge the liberati and pay homage to the criminal element is just

I lived for 3.5 years in Arlington....having left last summer. Some basic facts....northwest DC (Georgetown) has low crime because of massive manpower by DC’s cops in that part of town. It’s a trade-off...if you live on the east side of DC...the city council provide jobs for various characters in the city government or school system. One side gets jobs...the other protection.
In the late 1980s...four hundred folks a year got killed in DC. The cops have brought the number back down....mostly by exporting the statistics and gangs out into Maryland suburbs that surround DC. If you check Montgomery county and Prince George’s county...heck of a lot of folks killed over drug disputes or gang stuff.
Finally, you can get mugged or robbed on Metro....because there’s just no one guarding you as it moves around the city.
This sheep deserved a beating as well IMO.....and his muggers, we know what they deserved.

Washington DC is awash in money - thanks to our massive, crony-capitalist Federal Government. Its the center of the left-wing, progressive American Empire.
Even the “poor” in DC are not poor. They have opportunities at aid, food, housing, schooling that are the best in the nation, not to mention the world - and nearly all totally free.
The only thing they suffer from is a degraded culture and low expectations.
Washington DC is like a really nice, big house owned by rich Uncle Same - yes, some family members living there are really rich, but the poor family members live there too and get to eat the food and sleep on the couches all day.

Good point few consider. The assumption is if you acquiesce to the robber’s demands he’ll leave. What’s to stop him from stealing your life? Would you trust a criminal to steal only your possessions but not your life? Some would argue that even stealing your possessions is a means to stealing your life. After all you expended once in a life time hours to acquire the means to get those possessions.
The worst thing is that by excusing black pathology, nitwits like him make everybody else less safe. The Black Underclass could be given the rough treatment they deserve if it weren't for white liberals like this stooge who actually abet all the black crime and cripple law enforcement. You're right...he deserved the beating.
One thing I have noticed in my short time in the DC area is that DC is the most stratified classist city that I have ever seen. There are hard defining lines between the welfare class, the working poor, the struggling middle class (mostly low level government employees), the professional class, and the ruling bureaucratic class. The struggling middle class are just trying to get by, but they will never rise out of that class because of the horrendous state of public education in the District. They don't have the skills to move up or to get a similar job outside the city.
So the old adage that a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged, does not hold true in this instance. I guess you can’t fix stupid.
