The University of Bristol's LGBT community is advising students not to worry if people of the wrong gender are in their restrooms.
Fliers with these statements are being put up around campus in bathrooms.
They read, "If you're in a public bathroom and you think a stranger's gender does not match the sign on the door, follow these steps: 1. Don't worry about it, they know better than you."

Easy solution to anticipated problems: security cams in the loos.
That actually happened at the place I worked last. The company cow-towed to a pervert who claimed he was changing into a woman. He was allowed to use the Women's restroom and showers. The stories I heard were not surprising. The first rounds of layoffs that happened after the perv started calling himself "maggie", he was gone including the entire team he belonged to.
I think the company was too scared to just lay him off, so they chopped 4 other people too.

If this becomes the norm I predict there will be few women who will use a multi-stall restroom, anywhere. I wouldn’t. Will make a note to bring my own toilet paper and pee on a country road while my passenger keeps watch. You’re going to start seeing some really clean pristine and mostly unused bathrooms.
If people of any sex (not “gender”) are allowed to use a restroom regardless of the label, then the label is meaningless.
Know better than you? Really...? So if you - as a female - walk in...and a guy is just in briefs. You shouldn’t worry? BS... if I was a guy in the men’s room and a female walked in, I would leave, because a female could say he raped me.
This share the bathroom thing is just wrong on so many levels.
But I gotta tell you: I play organized hockey, and we have 2 ladies that play. Every 3 months they re-organize the teams, so I’ve played on the same team as the ladies numerous times.
We all use the same locker rooms. We never get nekkid, just down to compression shorts...well and compression bras I guess.
Basically it’s a “MYOB and I’ll mind mine” situation, and there have been zero probs.
There was some discussion a few years ago about not being able to use the showers. But as a group we decided if a lady was on our team we wouldn’t shower. If we wanted to shower the ladies wouldn’t be able to play.
