Historic Victory for Republicans as America says "NO!" to Liberalism

Posted on 11/05/2014 5:46:22 AM PST by Arcy

Last night, American's in large numbers poured into their local election houses and polling places to send a message that they have had enough! 6-years into an 8-year presidency the promises of prosperity continued, but as families have continued to suffer under these failed draconian policies of an amateur president and a clueless but arrogant liberal Senate, American's decided to send a [mandate] to stop the madness before it's too late!

The road of liberalism has only resulted in economic and social disaster and America was tired of the lies. They said, "Enough! We cannot sustain the unsustainable. It's time to stop the madness of Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, and the liberal policies that have destroyed so much prosperity and economic opportunity!" The Republican victory last night was the largest in history and with some races still yet to be fully tallied, it could become even larger! Even the president's home state of Illinois elected a Republican Governor!

Now, it's up to the Republican's to demonstrate to those who elected them that they mean business! They need to demonstrate - quickly - that a change in direction will indeed happen and they need to publicly put forth what they intend to do..and do it!

Tennessee had a big conservative constitutional amendment wins.

We will now be able to place restrictions on Abortion, Stop a payroll tax and strengthen our NO state income tax.

What Was not needed was the YES vote on #2 unelected liberal judges no one ran ads to oppose it.

#4 expand the lottery to .orgs. Which is fine as long as it remains for Veterans orgs. But you flip the congress and you could end up giving that right to Planned Parenthood or the demoRAT as a .org. They should has specifically named which .orgs so this could not happen.

But PRAISE GOD AMENDMENT #1 and #3 passed. Some hope yet left in America.

I think with this vote, American rejected Gay marriage. And homosexuality in general. I would like to see the new congress impeach any judge that upholds gay marriage.

The republicans have gotten a new lease on life. Let’s hope they use it wisely. I know very well how POWER corrupts, and these politicians can be corrupted very easily. The first thing we, the people, must do, is rip off all the FOR SALE signs on the backs of these politicians. We must keep their feet in the fire to begin ridding us of all these unconstitutional “MANDATES” these Alphabet Government Agencies seem to think they have. The only way to do that is to “TAKE THE MONEY AWAY FROM THEM”. If there was a way to get rid of OBAMA, short of assassination, I would be for that. We have to get rid of this monkey on our backs.

That’s one thing we have to understand about the GOPe, and actively work to stop -

they don’t really want a smaller government.
They just want to be the ones in control of the bigger gov’t.

To make a Lord of the Rings reference, they are like Boromir wanting to use the inherently evil Ring to do “good”. An impossibility. It has to be destroyed, as does gov’t power.

Now let me be the voice of realism, a bit. The country is so polarized, that most elections are essentially controlled by the mushy-middle. The 10% that sway with the breeze.

The breeze blew in our direction this time, it can easily go the other way in a few years.I am glad "we won", but I don't have any illusions about what the Wave means. We have to be smart about what we do now with this power.

But America is clearly a center-right country. Conservatives vastly outnumber liberals. And when you have conservative leaners and liberal leaners, conservatives have a clear and strong advantage. The fact we don’t run everything is due to leftist control of the media, education, and entertainment and the fact that the GOP leaders are intimidated by the leftist control of the media, educaiton and entertainment. Too often they have no spines. They are wishy washy. They lose it for us as much as the media, education and entertainment win it. Sometimes the people in the middle wake up and smell the coffee and discount the lies they are being told. That happened last night.

Bingo! Your comment has herewith been nominated for post of the day. :)

And it hard to really call this a GOP victory. When the other team commits a bunch of game changing errors, a win was not exactly the result of superior play. In short, Republicans “won” last night because the Democrats failed.

Republicans had better up their game and prove themselves if they want real victories.

I hope so, but Amendment #2 is a BIG worry as it was to place limits on unelected liberal judges, and since no one stepped up and ran opposing ads, it got swept in with the 3 good Amendments. Because all the lawyers, judges and law enforcement came out for it. It will do the opposite of what we wanted and give unelected judges more power.

Stupid voters don’t read up on what they are voting for. They just see the TV ads.

The 911 call from the PP clinic with a woman bleeding to death was the ad that really pushed Amendment 1 over the top of the NO vote spending by PP from all 50 states that was poured into TN to stop us from regulating these clinics. There were NO regulations on them before. Now we can pass laws to regulate them. And put in a 24 hr waiting period. And we can pass law that the person seeking an abortion must pay for it themselves, not the tax payer!

One small step for the Unborn, Thank you Jesus.

And yet 4 Republican states voted to increase the minimum wage.
Arkansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Alaska

All voted to take from some and dispense it to others.

Really?

Its way to early to claim that “liberalism” lost anything.

Zero dang sure did...and the current crop of dumbles is humbled but they are not leaving.

Now the Republicans, if under the "leadership" of mcconnel, will go to work and institute "liberalism-lite." No repeal of obamacare, indeed.

How long before the Republicans give the democrats the gift of a restored filibuster rule?

I am fully in agreement with you. The thing that our founding fathers feared most, is a big government. This is why they gave us the CONSTITUTION. The constitution gave most of the power to the people and very little power to the government. These politicians, whether republicans or democrats, have turned the constitution on it’s head. We, the people, have to to take that power back
