It's not about common sense, and it's not about logic.

It's the law of the land. It passed with support on both sides of the aisle.

It's a Hell's stew of traditional, common law passed down from hundreds of years (which DNA testing has rendered moot) with a helping of anti-male malice from the left...seasoned with a salt/pepper combination of "we can cut welfare budgets if we hang it around some guy's neck!" from fiscal conseratives and "A real man would just shut up and do the responsible thing, pay and quit whining" of social conservatives.

What each have in common, of course, is a vision of the greater good which they proposed to serve by turning men into beasts of burden with no choice or rights, only obligations.

There's an especially warm spot in Hell reserved for them.

Spot on. They trump the justice for ‘the common good’ one, second and third time and it is not a taboo anymore.

Which paves a way to extensive ‘common good’ as a little showpiece foreground to a big shared equal misery.

At its highest level it has a name which starts with ‘c’ and ends with ‘ism’.
