Ebola! Ebola! Yawn

I am hopeful we may be spared more press conferences that don’t tell us anything more than what we already know

How is Ebola spread? Two ways; one, by letting anyone exposed to it in West Africa into America when they fly here and, two, by assuming that medical professionals and others who have been exposed to it would quarantine themselves from contact with others once they are here.

The latest case is Dr. Craig Spencer, an American to whom the travel ban would not apply, identified as potentially having Ebola after treating victims in Africa and who totally ignored the potential of spreading it to others as he made his way around New York on subways, went bowling, and likely had dinner at a restaurant.

Do you have anything interesting to add to the conversation?

Thank you for referencing that article Sean_Anthony. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Beware of writers who possibly don’t understand what exponential growth rate is. A single-match flame that quickly grows into a forest fire is an example of exponential growth rate. And that’s how ebola will possibly spread if not stopped soon.

What’s really the problem is the fact that people are going to get tired of having unnecessary Ebola cases in the U.S.. At this point, the question becomes that of where is next after NYC, or if someone else contracted the virus in the large area covered. It’s not likely, but not impossible, that a few more people were exposed.

I think it's interesting that this pimp only posts from a single source and makes no comments.

That doesn't interest you? Looks normal, does it?

Spencer needs to be charged with reckless endangerment and possibly attempted murder.

He knew where he had been and he knew he was having symptoms. He did nothing about it and endangered others while doing nothing about it.

The man is a criminal.

Absolutely dead wrong. Not worth reading after that idiocy.

I really don't care. I read the articles. I appreciate someone adding interesting and relevant articles, whether they post any remarks or not.

I appreciate someone adding interesting and relevant articles

Even if it's all from a single source and clearly an effort to take advantage of Free Republic's traffic.

Well, I guess you pretty much suck then.

Suck on, sucker.

Dude, you are incredibly rude.

You are actually wasting band space when you, almost on cue, berate someone for posting an article. This is a FREE Republic.

How do you know that the person you are berating is not donating to the site?

I know of one person who posts articles regularly, who does donate and gets lambasted by you for not posting answers to their article.

When someone posts something from a single source, it saves me the time at having to go to a lot of sites. So I appreciate them posting their stuff.

It says on the posting page:

Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.

When someone posts something from a single source

It means they are using Free Republic as a free advertising tool for that single source.

Theft is worse than rude. Dude.
