Picture taken yesterday at Bellevue:

Bellevue Hospital staff is seen demonstrating protective clothing it planned to wear if were treating an Ebola patient — and on Thursday, a man who just returned from Guinea was rushed there with symptoms of the deadly virus.

Guy on the right is going to get the Obolas...and carry it home with him on the subway with those tennis shoes. That is after he is initially exposed on his scalp and neck!

The one striking a pose on the left doesn’t inspire confidence in me that she’ll be rigorous in following protocol, either.

Exactly. Looks more like bad Halloween costumes rather than max personnel protection for healthcare workers dealing with Ebola.

Thanks for posting. Very interesting.

Yippee! The good doc, just back from treating Ebola patients took public transport to a popular bowling alley LAST NIGHT!

Bingo. Ebola in New York isn’t happenstance. It was planned.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
