Any article in a news publication that starts with “Let’s separate the facts from the fiction about . . .” is essentially some form of propaganda.
It assumes that their credibility as a company that gets to and delivers accurate news wasn’t impeached sometime back in the late 80’s.
There is VERY little scientific information available on THIS strain of Obola.
Mr. Cain was a good candidate, but not a good physician.
First, there have been too few cases to prove that Ebola
is ONLY contagious when an infected person is “showing
symptoms, such as fever, vomiting, flu-like body-aches
and diarrhea”.
Second, in fact, none of them are symptoms,
they are signs. And many over the counter drugs
mitigate them. Mr. Cain should go get some pizza.
Nobody knows anything about this virus.
They are all talking bullshit about how it is spread (clearly by aerosols, maybe airborne, you can tell this just by reading the accounts of how it has been transmitted so far).
They are also lying about how people must have fevers or other symptoms to spread it.
This is false because fevers can come and go, or be knocked down by some ibuprofen to normal.
EVERYONE knows this.
Lastly they are downplaying this as if it can not become another Black Death.
It sure as hell can.
It is highly contagious, to the extent that a good fraction of scared-to-death health care workers (nine!! MSF physicians included) have been killed by catching this virus.
Clownish suits and protocols and chlorine aside.
Face it people, they are lying about everything, so you need to noodle this thing out yourselves.
Cruz wants to emergency reconvene Congress for a travel ban, that is a start. I would hound him to carry through with that.
In other words, he has absolutely no idea what he is doing.
One of Frieden's talking points to Megan Kelly about stopping flights is that it would adversely affect some African emerging economies. Hey, Dr. Asshole, your brief is disease containment and the health of US citizens, not social work. With that one phrase, I knew he was appointed more for his politically correct leanings than for his competence in epidemiology and disease containment.
