'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before': Outraged family eyes lawsuit...
The London Daily Mail ^ | October 9, 2014 | Josh Gardner and Michael Zennie and Laura Collins In Dallas, Texas

Posted on 10/08/2014 11:24:48 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

* Thomas Eric Duncan died at 7:51am on Wednesday after receiving no potentially lifesaving blood transfusion or ZMapp

* Five other Ebola patients treated in the U.S. are either cured or in the process of being treated

* Doctors began giving Duncan an experimental antiviral drug on Monday, but it was too late

* Hospital announced 'with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment' that Duncan died after 'fighting courageously against the insidious disease'

* Duncan exposed 48 people to the disease before he was hospitalized, including his fiancée and two of her children

* His condition took a turn for the worse this weekend and by Tuesday he was unresponsive and medically sedated

* His body still carries the disease and must now be disposed of

* CDC rules call for his remains to be wrapped in a plastic shroud and zipped up in two leak-proof bags then cremated

The family of Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan are venting their outrage that the late Liberian may not have received the same quality of care leading up to his death Wednesday morning as other patients treated in the U.S. for the dreaded virus.

'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before. This is the first time,' Duncan's furious nephew Joe Weeks told ABC.

Weeks and others in Duncan's family are calling his treatment 'unfair,' after seeing other patients pulled from the brink of death in government funded evacuation planes and using life-saving blood transfusions and cutting edge drugs...

The ‘aggreived family’ assuming they really are blood relations, are not behaving as appreciative guests to their host country. My guess is almost none of them have any marketable skills, or the skills they do possess are overwhelmed by an attitude of entitlement. Where could they have learned that behavior from so quickly?

I am damn glad this SOB died. If we had given treatment, and he survived, every Ebola victim in Africa would have made a beeline to the US.

The Kenyan Muslim would let them right in, throwing free bennies all the while. Sigh. Just two more years, please God, let this bizarre burlesque act of an administration be over and properly changed in two more years.

No - stop the issuance of VISAs which allow the residents of the Ebola HotSpot West African Countries to come to America... Duncan came on a flight from Brussels, Belgium

I am cautiously optimistic that we can neuter this SOB with the senate (hopefully) flipping. Then I realize that he will become the EO legislative president on steroids the last two years. And unfortunately the feckless GOP won't stop him.

This article has some gross inaccuracies ...

There are not 5 Ebola cases in America per se.... Good grief Duncan was the only case of Ebola brought to America ‘in the wild’ not under controlled conditions - where the patients also had begun good treatment in Africa. They had a head start to save their lives...And the number 5 is wrong.. other cases - except for the Aid Workers brought here were not diagnosed with Ebola.

Anyone know how much of our Tax Dollars were spent treating a guy who LIED his way into our Country and exposed God knows how any many people with his selfish actions?

I am also wondering if his “relatives” were Illegal Invaders who over stayed their Visas. Haven’t heard a peep about that one way or the other.

Yeah, I must be a Bigot for asking such obvious questions.

Yeah that’s the typical liberal mentality for you. These illegals learn quickly and Obola is glad Duncan came here with the disease as even now with him being dead, he will be looking f0rward to voting on Nov.4th... for the Democrats on the ballot of course.

When I had a cardiac arrest, my only symptoms were nausea and vomiting. I didn't have the usual sign of intense chest pain and pressure. So naturally, the ER staff thought I had the flu. I thought I had the flu. I could not reasonably expect the ER staff to diagnose a coronary.

Same with Duncan. He showed up at the ER with fever and other flu-like symptoms. We never had Ebola in this country before. How could anyone reasonably expect the ER to diagnose Duncan with Ebola?

I used to work for lawyers. Often, these attorneys defended doctors and hospitals from medical malpractice lawsuits. Some of these lawsuits were justified, but cases like this are just extortion rackets. If Obama really wanted to reform health care, he should have built in reforms designed to curb frivolous medical malpractice suits which cost American consumers billions per year. We, not the hospitals, are the ones who pay through the nose for these ridiculous claims.

His treatment would have been expedited if he had come out and TOLD the doctor(s) he saw that he had been exposed to Ebola. As he knew very well he had been.

Are these people his family? Wasn’t the girl a ‘girlfriend’? Were the children his offspring? If not, do they have standing?

“Anyone know how much of our Tax Dollars were spent treating a guy who LIED his way into our Country and exposed God knows how any many people with his selfish actions?”

This happens thousands of times a day. This guy is no
different than any other wetback. Wetbacks lie and outright
sneak into this country every day from south of the border.
Once they are here they demand medical coverage and get it
from the state on demand by the federal government.

Because he told the staff he had come from Liberia. That should’ve set off some warning bells.

It’ll never see a court.

He knee he had the disease.

He lied on travel documents.

He traveled a murderous path to the United States, imperiling the lives of countless and innocent victims.

FU

I hope he burns in hell...forever...
