I've often wondered when the ‘’Julia’’ thing debuted in Obamas first term about the wonder world of government (taxpayer) provided services if anyone saw the irony in naming the recipient of all this socialist largess “Julia’’. She of course being the female protagonist in Orwell's ‘’1984’’. Could they not have known that or did they and do it out of some cynical kind of intent? Or did they really believe all that crap they were trying to peddle and provide us all with a ‘’new, happy life’’? This being the oft repeated phrase in ‘’1984’’ every time the Party extolled some new ‘’over fulfillment'' of one quota or another.
