Moms Demand Action Steals my Picture
Gun Watch ^ | 3 October, 2014 | Dean Weingarten

I had the picture above taken, and wrote the story about it a month ago.  It seems to have hit a nerve, because Moms Demand Action stole the picture and tried to use it for their propaganda.   It is one of the reasons that I copyright these articles and allow for use *if the attribution line is included*.   MDA did not include the attribution line, but their use of the picture is backfiring anyway.

Here is a link to the article at concealednation.org that it generated.    Brandon, the author, did a good job.

As we start reading through the posted comments, we quickly realize that some MDA followers seem quite violent. These aren’t things that we would ever promote, and find it insanely ironic that a follower of an organization such as MDA would promote such violent acts:
It is interesting to find that there are people who want to kill me, simply for exercising my first and second amendment constitutional rights. Linda Andrew Hunsicker wrote:
"If I see a guy carrying a big gun like this while I'm shoping, I have to assume he's a bad guy and shoot him.  It doesn't make sense to wait to see if he shoots someone else first.  He's got a gun in Kroger, I feel threatened, so it's my duty to shoot him first."
I wrote about a prominent TV anchor in Phoenix that expressed the same attitude:
Mark Curtis, anchor, 12News:

"Someones carrying a gun, and they're with their children, and they see a man walk into a Starbucks with a rifle on his shoulder.  What would stop them from blowing your client away?

Marc Victor, attorney

:

Well, the fact that the law prohibits that unless there is an imminent risk of deadly physical force, or....

Mark Curtis, Anchor 12News:

You don't think that a man carrying a rifle in a Starbucks, after what we have seen in Aurora, Colorado, would be enough reason for someone that is carrying a gun to think that they are in imminent danger?

It appears that Linda has expanded the "big gun" category that you can be sumarily executed for, to include such mundane handguns as a Glock 17.   Next people will be wanting to kill their fellow man because they drive an SUV, or maybe because their house is bigger than average.

It would not be the first time.

Hey, the guy at the cash register with all the money doesn’t seem to be concerned.

ANYONE who has a problem with either open or concealed carry probably shouldn’t own a gun anyway.
And to tag along on that phrase and reiterate a meme...

People who have a problem with armed citizens are one of the reasons why citizens should be armed.

Pith helmet short shorts and an shoulder bag

The shoulder bag might be a bandolier {but I'm with you, it's probably Givenchy classic $600, shoulder bag}. Bless his sweet heart.

Yep, I carry in the store all the time too. I see that guy draw and fire on someone for no reason I will assume he is insane and a danger to myself and others and I will put him down. So if he really wants to act that irrationally, it will cost him his life some day.

What, precisely, will the offended party “shoot” the carrier with? For this scenario to work both need to be carrying. So which is the threat to the peace? Clearly the one with murder on the mind.

Linda ANDREW HunSucker sounds as though he/she has a few “issues”. I really doubt that he/she knows which end of a gun the bullet comes out of. Just the type of person who should not have a gun.

If this fool thinks it is her “duty to shoot him first”, then it is also the duty of others to shoot her first.

The lack of basic logic is astounding.

But Linda, you yourself are carrying a gun, wouldn’t
it just be easier to shoot yourself?

And she's going to shoot him with what?

HER gun?

And shouldn't we assume that since SHE'S carrying, then SHE'S the bad guy and deserves to get shot for it?

Does she not see the irony?

Honestly, whatever passes for thought processes in the liberal mind is a mystery but it certainly can never be confused for logic.

Wasn’t this from your hunting trip? I remembered it because I’ve been wanting to get myself a pith hat for some time now, which I imagine is a lot more comfy when it’s really hot out, compared to my typical bush hat.

Maybe a pith hat with a pith sombrero brim. Along with a tight weave but loose khaki ‘gi’ blouse with vents, and a khaki mid-calf kilt with military web belt, a leather reinforced seat and leather anti-cholla leg chaps. With cinches to turn the kilt into pants if needed. Combat boots, of course.

Just the ticket for be-bopping around the desert.

First thing: send their ISP a DMCA takedown notice.

Some libs I know in CA are already there. It’s justified in their minds because those people are causing harm to everyone via global warming.

If the other shopper is himself carrying, then why would he assume that the mere fact of carrying is a predictor of illegal behavior?? Course if the guy's a lib, who know what a liberal brain is capable of? Or is it just that the interviewer thinks rifles are over the line whereas handguns are not? But then he should be supporting you rather than using you as the example for the bad outcome. Very weird.

These peoples’ brains are not connected to their mouths...

Who can say if their brains are attached to anything?

“Pith helmet short shorts and an shoulder bag”

The shoulder strap is for the camera bag.

The hat is a sunfari, made for hot, sunny climates.

The picture was taken in Arizona, temp, 106.

Somebody needs to post the pictures of the FINE young Isreali ladies at the beach, at Starbucks, etc. I’m to stupid to post pictures. C’mon Mad Moms, pull a gun on one of these exceptional young ladies. The terrorists (over there) won’t.

The people making the comments likely think they are “edgy” and “hip”.

They are so into the echo chamber of extreme progressivism, that they consider themselves to be “mainstream”.

I doubt that they understand how insane and horrifying their comments seem to most Americans.

Pith helmet short shorts and an shoulder bag....the fashion police might plug him.

At least take him in for questioning and maybe a makeover, he could look fabulous...

We wouldn’t even have to THINK about carrying in public means if we had law & order.
