Yup. A lot of folks don’t have a clue as to the history of the nazis and the muslimes during WW II. Common goals for starters. Do ya think the muzziew would have turned on the nazis had they won? Or would hitler and his ilk have seen the impending clash.
IIRC the Nazis regarded Arabs as Semitic untermenschen but found them useful against both the British and the Jews, hence Hitler’s meeting with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem in 1941 (Arafat’s uncle, BTW).
In fact, Hitler at first refused to meet the infamous Haj Amin Al-Husseini until an aide whispered, “My Fuhrer, the Mufti has blue eyes”.
Mein Kampf in Arabic has been a bestseller in the ME since the 1930’s. Many Arabs fought on the Nazi side & the most coveted prize among them was the Iron Cross.
Yes, the lack of a sense of history among the young people of Europe is appalling. In Japan, OTOH, the young are deliberately insulated from their Imperial past & can’t understand why the Chinese are still angry with them.
