Socialist Climate Change Dreams Falling Apart

According to Pat Sajak you can always tell which side has been rallying based on how much trash has been left behind. Tea Party groups are known for leaving their rally grounds spotless. Leftist groups are known for leaving behind heaps of trash. Sunday’s climate change rally in New York ahead of a major UN conference on the subject was no different. Climate change extremists spent the afternoon trying scare people into believing the sky is falling, meanwhile they simply tossed all their trash in the street for someone else to pick up.

The rally brought out all sorts of socialists demanding the end of capitalism. That’s what climate change is really all about. This isn’t about saving the planet, the subject is little more than a means to an end. There hasn’t been any warming since 1997, net glacial and sea ice hasn’t declined at all and there isn’t more extreme weather today. Keep in mind, if CO2 causes all these problems you would expect the problems to increase considering that since 1997 man made CO2 has increased 25%. Even the scientists will quietly admit that all of the political CO2 targets (lowering CO2 output, which would cost massive sums of money) would have an imperceptible affect on temperature.

All of this begs the question why the left gets hysterical about climate change. The answer is simple: Climate change is nothing more than a vehicle to get the world to global socialism. These people don’t care about the planet, if they did they wouldn’t trash every rally ground they’ve ever attended. The posh celebrities who flew to New York in private planes or in Al Gore’s Case was dropped off and picked up in a Chevrolet SUV, would be called out for destroying the planet. These celebrities live in mansions that have huge carbon footprints. If the left really cared about the planet, they would call these hypocrites out.

The truth is that the left only cares about “mother earth” insofar as it’s a good way to scare people into opposing capitalism and supporting socialism. Fear, particularly irrational fear, is a great tool to rally people to a particular cause. If leftists can get people worked up about complete nonsense to the point that they’re scared for their future, they’re more likely to follow those sounding the alarm. It doesn’t matter that no alarm needs to be sounded, the key is to make people believe there is actually a problem. The left has been doing this for nearly 50 years. First it was global cooling then global warming and now they’ve settled on the catch all climate change. It’s never been about the planet, it’s been about socialism.

The problem for the left today is that it’s too easy to discover their deception. The internet has made it easy to discover that there hasn’t been any warming since 1997. It’s made it easier to discover that in history the Earth has actually been warmer than it is today and those times were generally times of plenty. The left’s response is to smear “climate deniers” as dangerous heretics. This is hardly surprising. Such people are a threat to the left’s socialist dream. It really wouldn’t matter what vehicle the left was going to use to get to socialism, when that vehicle starts falling apart they’ll attack the heretics without mercy. Their climate change vehicle is falling apart. There is no warming, few believe the left anymore on this subject.

You’re just fooling yourself. The media will spin this as the greatest public demonstration since King’s March for Justice. They are already describing it as “the most massive climate change event in history” and similar hyperbole. And the low-infos love to be “part of something.”

By any measure, this was a success for the Climate Hoax crowd.

We’re assuming of course that the 300,000 figure is accurate. What do you want to bet it’s really more like 100,000.

I agree, the low information crowd doesn’t even know this event took place. If they do, they’re likely not very interested.

Give it a rest, Jack. 2,000,000 showed up to *watch* the NYC Marathon last time. And if you surf around, you can find postings of ads offering people $50 to participate in the march...

Nice try, though.

How’s the view down there with your head in the sand? If the Tea Party held a rally and 300,000 people showed up, would you consider it a success?

Stop lying to yourself.

I have some respect for those who take this seriously and have made radical changes in their lives

Being conservative, I generally conserve my own resources and the planet as a whole. For example since my storm water can pollute the Chesapeake bay, I impound it as much as I can. That's also better for my trees and water table. I don't drive needlessly but that doesn't mean I can't have a car with cargo room plus a hitch and trailer.

I've done lots of things to improve my energy efficiency with the result of my electric bill being $25-50 and usually less than $30.

People who find themselves subject to monetary restraints are far better off trying to live wisely than to blame the government for their lives! I live well I can’t lie but on a lot less money than a lot of other people.
